Maudy Ayunda has contributed to the soundtrack of the Korean film You Are the Apple of My Eye. The original soundtrack, titled Now Do You, was officially released on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) and is available on all music platforms and YouTube.
The song Now Do You is sung in English and beautifully performed by Maudy. Listeners have left positive comments and messages of support for Maudy Ayunda.

Now Do You features a warm melody and lyrics, with the lyrics reflecting the storyline of the film You Are the Apple of My Eye, which is about first love.
Synopsis of You Are the Apple of My Eye
The film You Are the Apple of My Eye is an adaptation of the semi-autobiographical Taiwanese novel The Girl We Chased Together in Those Years by Giddens Ko. After the success of the novel, Giddens Ko adapted it into a Taiwanese film, which was released in 2011. It was later remade into a Japanese film in 2018, titled Ano Koro, Kimi wo Oikaketa, and in 2023, Thailand also remade it with the title My Precious.
This romantic film tells the story of a first love during high school, featuring a couple named Jin Woo and Sun Ah, who come from completely different backgrounds. Jin Woo is a troublemaker at school and regularly gets called into the school counselor’s office, while Sun Ah is a model student with the highest academic ranking.
As a model student, Sun Ah is tasked by the counselor to keep an eye on Jin Woo. The two often interact and fall in love. However, their love story faces challenges. Does first love always end happily?
The film stars Jung Jin Young and Kim Dahyun. In interviews with local media, they shared that it wasn’t too difficult to portray the characters of Jin Woo and Sun Ah. “It wasn’t too hard because we both went to high school, so it felt like reliving our youth,” said the 33-year-old actor.
To delve deeper into their roles, Jung Jin Yong and Kim Dahyun read the original novel. “Since it’s based on a novel, to understand our characters better, we had to read the entire novel and recall our own high school memories,” said Kim Dahyun, a member of K-pop group TWICE.
She admitted there was pressure to perform well, as there have been three previous films with similar themes. “Of course, there’s pressure, but we’re trying our best for this role. We studied and did in-depth research into our characters,” she explained.
Besides these two stars, the film also features several other Korean actors including Demian, Lee Min Go, Kim Min Ju, Lee Seung Jun, and Kim Yo Han.
The Korean remake of You Are the Apple of My Eye is directed by Cho Young Myoung. “It’s not easy to make a remake film, so we and all the actors had to truly understand the essence of the original novel,” emphasized Cho Young Myoung. The film is also supported by producer Song Dae Chan, who previously worked on successful films like A Man Of Reason (2022) and Cold Eyes (2013).
