SEVENTEEN Goes Local in Jakarta Concert, The8 and Wonwoo Greet Fans in Bahasa Indonesia: “Mana Suaranya!”

The South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN successfully held a high-energy concert at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday night (February 8, 2025).

The first day of the concert in Indonesia not only offered a stunning performance but also sweet surprises from the SEVENTEEN members for their Indonesian CARAT fans.

In an unexpected twist, the members greeted the fans using Bahasa Indonesia, sending the CARATs into a frenzy.

On several occasions, the SEVENTEEN members spoke to the audience in Bahasa Indonesia.

The8, one of the members, enthusiastically shouted, “Mana suaranya?” (Where’s the sound?), which was met with loud cheers from the crowd.

Seungkwan joined in, boosting the energy by encouraging the audience to have fun together in Bahasa Indonesia.

“Ayo senang-senang bersama!” (Let’s have fun together), he said, making the CARATs even more excited.

Joshua also showcased his Indonesian skills in front of the fans.

“Apa kabar? Gimana perasaan hari ini?” (How are you? How do you feel today?), he asked, which was greeted by wild cheers from the audience.

However, the moment that stole the spotlight was when Wonwoo spoke in Bahasa Indonesia.

He recalled a personal memory from his visit to Yogyakarta a few years ago.

“We once traveled to Yogyakarta. It was an unforgettable experience. I wish I could travel again (on holiday in Indonesia),” he said, filled with nostalgia, even though he spoke in Korean.

Wonwoo then reminisced about some Indonesian words he had learned during his time in Yogyakarta.

In a moment that had everyone laughing, he imitated bargaining at a market, saying, “Mahal mahal mahal!” (Expensive, expensive, expensive!), which immediately made the fans burst into laughter.

Additionally, the SEVENTEEN members didn’t forget to express their gratitude to the fans in Indonesia.

They frequently said phrases like “Aku Cinta Kamu” (I love you), “Sampai Jumpa Lagi” (See you again), and even “Waduh” (Wow), making the concert atmosphere even warmer and more intimate.

This concert is part of SEVENTEEN’s ongoing tour, which is scheduled to last two consecutive days at JIS.
