Jung Jinhyeong is one of the contestants from the ‘Mix & Match’ program created by YG Entertainment to determine the members of the boy group iKON. However, Jung Jinhyeong was one of the YG Entertainment trainees who did not debut as a member of iKON.
After failing to debut, Jung Jinhyeong took a break until rumors started spreading that he would be a contestant on the survival trainee program “Mnet, Produce 101” Season 2. Jung Jinhyeong himself has openly admitted the reasons behind his departure from YG Entertainment. He explained that he felt lonely, ostracized, and faced many challenges alone, which led to immense pressure. Jung Jinhyeong had auditioned for YG Entertainment while he was still studying at Anyang Arts High School.
As he continued his solo career, Jung Jinhyeong has released two mini-albums titled Soar and Trance. Both albums feature K-Hip Hop and K-RnB music genres.
In his solo career, Jung Jinhyeong mentioned that he feels more comfortable because he can do many things without being bound by the rules of any agency. Going solo also allows him to express any kind of music he desires.
Recently, Jung Jinhyeong held a concert to promote his latest mini-album Whimsical, which was organized for fundraising purposes. Through this event, he successfully raised around 15.8 million Won, equivalent to around IDR 196 million.
