Jakarta – South Korean soloist Jey successfully kicked off Overpass Jakarta with a bang on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
The event, promoted by Three Mountains Eve, took place at JCC Senayan.
As the opening performer, Jey dazzled the audience with his songs WYA, Jetski, Close2u, and Venus.
Jey expressed his happiness at being in Jakarta to meet his fans. He even took a moment to compliment everyone in attendance.
“Hello, Jakarta, are you happy tonight? I’m also happy to be in such a beautiful country, and you all are beautiful too. Thank you, Jakarta,” said Jey, whose real name is Jun Jinhyeong.
He continued his set by performing Juicy, How to Love, and Just for Two.
“Hello again, I’m Jey,” he said with a smile.
After Jey’s performance, the concert continued with B.I‘s performance.
B.I, whose real name is Kim Hanbin, performed tracks like Michelangelo, Be I, One and Only, Illa Illa, BT BT, Keep Me Up, and Tasty.
He kept the crowd hyped by encouraging everyone to stand and jump along with him. B.I also surprised his fans when he removed the jacket he was wearing mid-performance. His set ended with a return to Michelangelo.
Finally, Baekhyun of EXO closed the event with a stunning performance. He sang solo tracks such as Pineapple Slice, UN Village, Good Morning, Garden in The Air, Betcha, and Candy.
Baekhyun wrapped up his set by asking to perform Betcha one more time.
This request came after he felt that his microphone was not loud enough for the audience to hear clearly.
“I thought I should show it again. Oh, the dancers have changed outfits, but that’s okay! This is what makes the encore exciting,” he explained.
“Let’s really do ‘Betcha’ one last time. Please make sure the mic is loud enough for the audience to hear,” he added.
At the end of the concert, Baekhyun promised to return to Jakarta to meet EXOL again.
“See you again, love you, baby. We’ll meet again in the fall. Annyeong,” he said, blowing a flying kiss to his fans.
It was definitely an exciting night, full of energy and memorable moments! What’s your favorite part of Jey’s opening performance?
