The Florida-based band Boyce Avenue successfully held their solo concert in Indonesia. The Boyce Avenue Live in Jakarta concert took place at the Grand Ballroom of Pullman Central Park Hotel, West Jakarta, on Sunday night, April 27, 2025.
Starting at 7:55 PM WIB, the concert captivated the audience with performances of original songs like Hear Me Now, as well as covers of A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay and Every Breath You Take by The Police.
After performing, lead vocalist Alejandro Manzano warmly greeted the thousands of fans in attendance. “Thank you so much, Jakarta. How are you? It’s so great,” Alejandro said from the stage.
During the concert, Alejandro also shared the touching story behind one of the songs he would perform. The song, Cinderella, holds deep meaning for him, as it was written while he was awaiting the birth of his first daughter, Isla Elizabeth Manzano, in October 2023.
“We wrote this song a few years ago, but it holds even more meaning for me now. I’m happy to say that at that time, we were welcoming a baby girl,” Alejandro shared. This heartfelt story was met with a round of applause from the audience. Cinderella was performed with great emotion, creating an intimate atmosphere.
“We’ve played here several times, and we’re always happy to come back,” said Daniel Manzano.
Daniel also took the time to express appreciation for Ardhito Pramono, who had performed as the opening act. Ardhito entertained the audience by singing three of his own songs before Boyce Avenue took the stage.
“Please give a round of applause for Ardhito Pramono,” Daniel said.
Fabian Manzano also echoed similar sentiments, expressing that Jakarta was the perfect place to conclude their Asian tour. He was grateful for the incredible response from the audience.
“This is the final concert of our small tour, and it feels amazing to end it here. This is the best. So, thank you, everyone,” Fabian said.
For 1.5 hours, Boyce Avenue performed a selection of their original songs as well as popular cover songs that helped them rise to fame.
The setlist included Photograph by Ed Sheeran, Stand By Me by Ben E. King, Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur, and A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.
The concert closed with the highly anticipated Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. The crowd joined in singing as the song was performed, creating a beautiful and memorable moment.
Before leaving the stage, Alejandro once again thanked the fans for their support in Indonesia and promised to return.
“Every time we come here, you always support us. We’ll be back here as long as you still want us,” Alejandro said.
“Thank you so much, Jakarta, you’re truly an incredible crowd. I love you all,” he added.
Boyce Avenue’s concert on Sunday night successfully fulfilled the fans’ longing, as they had been waiting 11 years for the band’s return. Boyce Avenue last visited the capital in 2014 during a festival and also appeared at a café opening that same year.
This concert, promoted by Color Asia Live, was Boyce Avenue’s first solo concert in Jakarta. Prior to Jakarta, Boyce Avenue had already toured across Asia, visiting India, Singapore, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. After Jakarta, they will continue their tour in Europe, visiting countries such as the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
