Jakarta – Friday, May 16, 2025 – Mark your calendars, anime fans! Anime Festival Asia (AFA) is set to make its grand return to Jakarta from June 6–8, 2025. This highly anticipated 9th edition continues the legacy of Southeast Asia’s biggest Japanese pop culture celebration in Indonesia.
Since its inception in 2008, AFA has become a regional phenomenon—holding over 30 events across six cities, featuring more than 520 performers and 2,300 exhibitors, and attracting over 2.3 million passionate attendees.
AFAID25 is ready to transform the Jakarta Convention Center into a dynamic hub of anime, manga, games, music, and the broader world of Japanese pop culture.
The event typically features three main entertainment zones:

Akiba Town – a bustling exhibition space filled with major Japanese companies and rising creators;

Day Stage – live talk shows and exclusive screenings with fan-favorite artists;

Night Concerts – spectacular performances by top J-pop and anisong artists direct from Japan.
