K-Pop idol Kang Daniel rocked the stage at the Far East Music City festival held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the evening.
As the closing act, the former Wanna One member took the stage promptly at 8:47 PM WIB. Accompanied by his dancers, Kang Daniel kicked off the show with his songs Electric Shock and Supernova.
“Hi guys, I’m so happy to see you again. The first song is Electric Shock, from my album ACT. How are you feeling today? Is everything good?” Kang Daniel greeted the audience.
He then recalled Wanna One’s last concert in Indonesia, where he performed with the group at ICE BSD on July 15, 2018, before they disbanded. He mentioned that this was his first time back in Jakarta since that concert.
“The last time I came to Jakarta was with Wanna One. I’m so happy to be back in Jakarta,” he shared.
Now performing as a solo artist, Kang Daniel admitted to feeling a bit nervous.
“Actually, I didn’t prepare any comments for today, so I’m nervous because I didn’t expect such a great response,” Kang Daniel said, greeted by the excited cheers of the crowd.
He promised to perform more amazing songs for the audience.
“I will also show you an even cooler performance after this,” he explained.
Kang Daniel performed a total of six songs. In addition to Electric Shock and Supernova, he also performed 2U, Jealous, Mess, and Ready to Ride.
“Time flies so fast, huh? Seven years ago, I performed here with Wanna One, and now, for the first time, I’m here in Jakarta as a solo artist. I didn’t expect you to still remember me. I’m so surprised,” Kang Daniel expressed.
“Since I’m alone, I feel a bit nervous. It’s a little tough talking to myself,” he added.
Kang Daniel then thanked the fans who attended the Far East Music City event.

“Thank you for waiting for me for such a long time, and thank you for enjoying my performance today. Thank you,” Kang Daniel said as he concluded his performance.
Although the performance had ended, fans who had exclusive access were still able to participate in a Q&A session with their idol. During this session, Kang Daniel shared more about his thoughts and feelings, particularly about the importance of his fans.
“I’m okay because of love. My fans are amazing. They are the people I love,” he said.
When asked to describe his fans in three words, Kang Daniel mentioned love once again.
“Three words for my fans: passion, love, and energy,” he explained.

At the end of his statement, Kang Daniel expressed his gratitude to the event organizers for inviting him to perform at Far East Music City. He had been looking forward to this moment to meet his fans in Indonesia.
“Thank you for inviting me. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. I know that Indonesian fans have been waiting for me,” Kang Daniel said.
“Actually, I didn’t know before, but now I understand that not everything goes as I want. I really wanted to come here, but it wasn’t that easy. That’s why I’m so happy to greet all of you through this event. This event means so much to me,” he continued.
Only a few lucky fans had their questions answered by the artists during the Q&A session. One fan’s question caught the attention of the audience: “What is your love language? Is it physical touch, acts of service, words of affirmation, receiving gifts, or quality time?”
Kang Daniel answered that his love language is quality time! The MC at the event even discussed how quality time related to Kang Daniel’s opportunity to perform and entertain the audience, especially his fans, on the Far East Music City stage.
In addition to the Q&A, Kang Daniel, along with other event performers like Olivia Marsh and EXID, also stepped off the stage to greet fans during a send-off session.
After the send-off, selected fans had the opportunity to take photos with their idols, marking the end of the Far East Music City event.
