Jakarta, July 15, 2025 — The Turkish horror film franchise Siccin, a blockbuster in its home country, is now releasing its eighth installment, Siccin 8. Having already premiered in Turkey to enthusiastic audience reception, the film will soon be screened in Indonesian cinemas, brought by production house Soraya Intercine Films.
Siccin 8 is set to hit Indonesian theaters in September 2025. The story follows Fatih, who lives with his wife and children in the same house as his elderly mother, Gönül.
Under pressure from his wife, Berna, they decide to send Gönül to a nursing home. However, their peace quickly turns to horror as terrifying supernatural events begin to unfold. What was once a peaceful home becomes a terrifying place. An unseen force is haunting Fatih’s house.
Consumed by guilt, Fatih eventually brings his mother back home—but she is no longer the same. A horrifying truth is revealed: a bloody secret that was never buried.
Written and directed by Alper Mestçi, Siccin 8 stars Fatih Gülnar, Melike Balçık, Gönül Ürer, Hatice İrkin, Masal Aksel, Mana Alkoy, Fahrettin Avci, Ece Baykal, and Oğuz Okul. The film promises relentless terror for horror fans and moviegoers, offering a different experience of the horror genre.
“Soraya Intercine Films has always believed in the power of storytelling and a fresh approach to creative works. We see Siccin as a Turkish horror creation that resonates with Indonesian audiences—both culturally and in terms of its themes. That’s why we’re bringing Siccin 8 to Indonesia,” said Sunil Soraya, producer at Soraya Intercine Films.
The release of Siccin 8 in Indonesian cinemas also marks a new chapter for Soraya Intercine Films, which is now officially the licensed holder for Siccin film adaptations in Indonesia.
Currently, Soraya Intercine Films is also preparing a remake of Siccin 2. “With the official adaptation rights of Siccin now in our hands, we are in the process of remaking Siccin 2. We hope this will bring a fresh and thrilling horror experience to Indonesian cinema,” added Sunil Soraya.
