Jakarta, July 24, 2025 — After sparking much curiosity with the official first look, MVP Pictures has released the official teaser trailer and teaser poster for the chilling horror film Dia Bukan Ibu! Featuring Artika Sari Devi in a terrifying portrayal through her meaningful smile.
In the official teaser trailer, Artika Sari Devi initially appears charming with her smile. But everything changes. Strange and unsettling events occur daily. The teaser also showcases several cast members and spine-chilling scenes such as dripping blood, Aurora Ribero looking frightened at night, terrifying reflections in mirrors, and ritual-like scenes involving animal carcasses and blood.
Meanwhile, the official teaser poster presents Artika Sari Devi as a different figure. With a darkened body, glowing eyes that seem ready to attack, dressed in a red gown, she holds a face twisted in agony.
The caption accompanying the official teaser poster for Dia Bukan Ibu reads:
“When a mother’s smile no longer feels warm, but instead…” — a line that further intrigues the audience about what will happen to the mother played by Artika Sari Devi.

Dia Bukan Ibu is directed by the talented Randolph Zaini, known for his fresh works. Written by Randolph together with 2-time FFI Citra Award-winning screenwriter Titien Wattimena, Dia Bukan Ibu will present a story never imagined before about a mother.

Dia Bukan Ibu follows the story of Vira (Aurora Ribero) and her younger brother Dino (Ali Fikry), who face a dangerous situation. They live with their mother (Artika Sari Devi), who is no longer herself, and Vira tries to uncover the reason behind her mother’s transformation.
“Viewers will witness a tense and mysterious family dynamic. How the mother harbors secrets unknown to her two children. I’m very excited to finally return to the big screen with this challenging role,” said Artika Sari Devi.
Previously, MVP Pictures also succeeded with the horror film adapted from the viral @JeroPoint thread, Di Ambang Kematian (2023). The film became a blockbuster with over 3.3 million viewers and was the second highest-grossing Indonesian film in 2023.
