After his deadly moves in Ballerina, Keanu Reeves is switching gears in a big way. In the upcoming fantasy comedy Good Fortune, Reeves plays Gabriel, a guardian angel who’s—well—stingy, clumsy, and far from perfect.
Directed and written by Aziz Ansari (who also stars in the film), Good Fortune promises a fresh mix of laugh-out-loud comedy, moral lessons, and a dash of magical absurdity.

Synopsis: When an Angel Falls… and Fails
Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) is a guardian angel with a very specific mission: to protect humans from everyday foolishness—like texting while driving. But instead of being wise and graceful, Gabriel is awkward, stingy, and often gets things wrong.
One day, he crosses paths with Arj (Aziz Ansari), a struggling freelancer who can’t catch a break. Feeling pity, Gabriel shows Arj a glimpse of his future… which looks just as mediocre. Arj believes that if he had wealth, he’d finally be happy. Trying to teach him a lesson, Gabriel swaps Arj’s body with Jeff (Seth Rogen), a wealthy investor living the high life.
But the plan backfires spectacularly. Arj loves his new luxurious lifestyle and refuses to go back. And just like that, Gabriel breaks heavenly rules—his wings are taken away and he’s banished to Earth to live as a mortal.
Meanwhile, Jeff, now trapped in Arj’s body, struggles with a life he’s never known: low-paying gigs, unpaid bills, and cold takeout dinners.
Now human, Gabriel reunites with Jeff. Together, they hatch a plan to convince Arj to switch back. But it turns out that fixing a divine mistake isn’t so easy…
