The festival will open with Park Chan-wook’s Korean film No Other Choice, which earned a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film tells the story of Man-su (Lee Byung-hun), a paper industry expert forced to make a life-changing decision after losing his job and facing the threat of losing his home.

Adding excitement to this year’s event, Ringgo Agus Rahman joins as the Festival Ambassador for KIFF 2025. The actor—beloved for his warm personality and signature humor—stars in two Indonesian films featured in the festival: Panggil Aku Ayah and 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan.“I’m really happy to be part of KIFF this year. I think it’s the perfect opportunity for film lovers to come together, learn from one another, and exchange ideas with fellow movie enthusiasts in theaters,” he shared.
