HYDE is ready to rock Jakarta! The legendary L’Arc-en-Ciel frontman will greet his devoted fans at the HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOUR, held at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Central Jakarta.
During a press conference in Sudirman on Friday (Oct 31), HYDE confidently revealed that he has something special and surprising prepared for his fans.“I’ve prepared something unexpected for my stage performance. So please look forward to surprises from me tomorrow night,” he said with a playful smile.
Stylish in Batik and a Fedora
That afternoon, HYDE looked effortlessly cool in an all-black outfit, a fedora hat, and a batik shirt he had just purchased in Jakarta. His cheerful expression lit up the room as he greeted local media and fans.
As a solo artist, HYDE said he now has more creative freedom to express himself on stage.“As a solo artist, I can bring anything I want—even songs from my previous bands. This is the best version of HYDE,” he said proudly.
Why Jakarta? The Answer: Rendang!
Jakarta is the only city in Asia included in HYDE’s 2025 world tour. When asked why he chose Indonesia, the 56-year-old musician gave a fun—and very relatable—answer.“They say the most delicious food in the world is in Indonesia. So, I came here to eat it!” he said, laughing.
And yes, HYDE really meant it.“Rendang. I ate so much rendang last night that I got a stomachache,” he admitted, drawing laughter from the press.
“I’m Rich, So I’m Free to Create Whatever I Want”
After more than 30 years in the music industry, HYDE said he’s now in a place where he can create music freely—without following trends or anyone’s orders.“Honestly, I’m rich. I don’t have to follow anyone’s orders. I can make whatever music I want. As long as I enjoy it, that’s what motivates me to keep creating,” he said with a grin.
The Best Setlist and Surprises Await
For tomorrow night’s concert, HYDE promises a powerful live performance alongside his crew and musicians. He also teased that the setlist will be his best one yet.“Tomorrow’s setlist is the best one—at least in my opinion. So please enjoy every song,” he said.
One of the highlights will be “Last Song”, from his album HYDE [INSIDE], which he’ll perform live in a special arrangement.
