The first day and grand opening of the 30th Asian Television Awards took place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Emtek City Studio 6, Daan Mogot, Jakarta, marking a spectacular start to Asia’s premier television awards event. The ceremony gathered top stars from across the region, highlighting the vibrancy and strength of the Asian entertainment industry.
This milestone edition celebrates three decades of excellence in Asian television and entertainment, with Indonesia proudly hosting and taking center stage—not only as the host country but also in bringing together actors, musicians, and media figures from diverse backgrounds.“Today marks another historic milestone for the Asian Television Awards. Thirty years ago, we were just a cocktail evening with fewer than 20 categories and less than 150 delegates,” said Raymond Wong, Director of the Asian Television Awards, during the opening ceremony.
A Harmonious Blend of Hosts and Cultures
The ceremony was hosted by four dynamic presenters from different countries: Robby Purba (Indonesia), Louis Hesse (Thailand), Heo Youwon (South Korea), and Brian Yuen (Hong Kong). Their distinct styles blended seamlessly, bringing charm, humor, and energy to the event.
Before the festivities officially began, attendees observed a moment of silence to honor the victims of recent floods across Asia, including in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines.“May God place their souls in the best place. Amen,” said Robby Purba, conveying a message of prayer, solidarity, and hope for recovery.
Celebrating Asia’s Best Content and Talent
This year, the Asian Television Awards recognized the finest programs and talent across the continent. Winners were selected from over 1,000 competing programs by a distinguished panel of more than 60 jurors.“They have been chosen as the best of the best. To all winners and nominees, my heartfelt congratulations,” Raymond Wong added.
He also expressed gratitude to all contributors, including Indosiar, for their extraordinary support in making the awards ceremony possible.
