Chen EXO finally reunited with his fans in Jakarta through his solo concert titled Arcadia, held on Saturday (January 31, 2026) at Balai Sarbini. Promoted by Three Angel Production, the concert became a special moment for Soondingies—Chen’s fandom—after a long wait to see the singer return to Indonesia.
Not only did Chen captivate the audience with his signature emotional vocals through a series of solo songs, but he also created a warm and intimate atmosphere by interacting directly with his fans. In between performances, the idol—whose real name is Kim Jong-dae—shared personal stories from his past, turning the concert into a nostalgic and heartfelt experience.
Chen invited the audience to take a trip back to his childhood, reminiscing about simple yet meaningful memories. One story that drew plenty of laughter was his experience with instant noodles when he was young.
“In Korea, ramyun is really spicy, right?” Chen said with a smile. He admitted that as a child, he couldn’t handle spicy food very well. However, because he really wanted to eat ramyun, he came up with a unique solution—rinsing the noodles with water to reduce the spiciness.
It wasn’t just ramyun. Even tteokbokki, a popular Korean street snack, received the same treatment. “I rinsed tteokbokki with water too,” Chen said, sending the audience into laughter. That simple childhood memory, according to Chen, has stayed with him even into adulthood.
Chen also shared how much he has changed since then. “Now I’m good at eating spicy food,” he said confidently, though fans immediately reacted with disbelief. He quickly added, “I can handle something as spicy as Shin Ramyun now,” which once again sparked cheers and laughter from the crowd.
The Arcadia concert became a meaningful moment not only because of the music, but also due to the emotional connection Chen built with his fans. After nearly a year away from Jakarta, his return felt like a long-awaited reunion.
To close the night on a sweet note, Chen ended the concert with a group photo session alongside the fans who filled Balai Sarbini—marking a memorable and heartwarming end to the evening.
