Netflix and HYBE Announce BTS Live Concert and Documentary

Netflix and HYBE have officially announced two major projects set to mark BTS’s return to the global stage: a live special concert and a feature-length documentary. Both are scheduled to premiere in March 2026 and are expected to become historic moments for ARMY around the world.

The concert, titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, will be broadcast live and exclusively on Netflix on 21 March 2026 at 6:00 PM WIB. Held at Gwanghwamun, one of Seoul’s most iconic and historic landmarks, the concert also celebrates the release of BTS’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, ARIRANG.

Through a strategic partnership with HYBE, Netflix brings fans the long-awaited comeback of BTS. RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will reunite on a global stage for the first time, marking a new chapter in their musical journey.

The concert coincides with the announcement of ARIRANG and BTS’s upcoming world tour. Described as an introspective body of work, the album explores identity, origins, and the personal journeys of the seven members. Following the album’s release, BTS will embark on the ARIRANG World Tour (2026–2027), an ambitious tour spanning 34 regions and 82 shows across Asia, North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

In addition to the concert, Netflix will release the documentary film BTS: THE RETURN on 27 March 2026. The feature-length documentary offers an intimate look at BTS’s comeback process, from the creative space to the emotional dynamics behind it.

Directed by Bao Nguyen (The Stringer, The Greatest Night in Pop) and produced by This Machine in collaboration with HYBE, BTS: THE RETURN provides unprecedented access to the group. The film follows BTS as they reunite after completing South Korea’s mandatory military service, capturing both the creation of new music and reflections on the journey that transformed them into global icons.

Since their debut in 2013, BTS have built one of the most dedicated fan communities in the world. In this documentary, the seven members return to Los Angeles to make music together, confronting essential questions about how to begin again, how to honor the past without being bound by it, and how to move forward as a group.

Filled with moments of doubt, laughter, and rediscovery, BTS: THE RETURN presents an intimate and emotional portrait of the group. It is a story of resilience, brotherhood, and growth—a story that only BTS could tell.

Meanwhile, BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG also marks the expansion of Netflix’s live programming and becomes the first global live broadcast from Korea on the platform. The concert joins Netflix’s growing lineup of live events, including WWE Raw, NFL Christmas Gameday, and a range of international sports and entertainment spectacles.

With a historic live concert and a deeply personal documentary premiering just days apart, March 2026 is set to become a defining moment—not only for BTS, but for the global music scene as a whole.
