Taiwanese heartthrob Eric Chou was set to return to Indonesia for his “Odyssey Stars” concert at Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, on May 9, 2026. However, fans were left disappointed when promoter FriedRice Entertainment announced on March 30, 2026, that the show had been officially canceled.
The sudden announcement was shared on the promoter’s official Instagram account, sparking frustration and sadness among fans—especially those who had already made travel plans and secured their tickets.“With a heavy heart, we inform you that Eric Chou’s ‘Odyssey Stars’ concert in Jakarta, scheduled for May 9, 2026, at Indonesia Arena, has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances,” the promoter wrote.
The reason behind the cancellation remains unclear, with the promoter only citing unexpected circumstances as the cause. The concert was meant to mark Eric Chou’s second performance in Indonesia, following his sold‑out show at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) back in July 2024.
As for ticket holders, FriedRice Entertainment assured fans that refunds will be processed by the official ticketing partner. Further details about the refund procedure will be announced soon.
