The legendary Gundam franchise is gearing up for another epic installment with the announcement of its latest film, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. Produced by Sunrise Studio, the movie serves as a direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway and continues the intense narrative of one of the series’ most complex characters.
Adapted from the second volume of the novel Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway’s Flash, the story is set 12 years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack. At its core is Hathaway Noa, the son of Earth Federation hero Bright Noa, who continues to struggle with the emotional scars of the past—especially the tragic death of Quess Paraya.
In this second chapter, Hathaway deepens his commitment to the anti-Federation movement Mafty. Piloting the powerful prototype mobile suit, the RX-105 Gundam, he launches a renewed campaign against the Earth Federation in an effort to reshape the world order. However, the path he has chosen is filled with moral dilemmas, personal conflict, and the ever-present weight of his past decisions.
Fans will also be pleased to know that several beloved voice actors from the first film are returning to reprise their roles. Kensho Ono returns as Hathaway Noa, joined by Reina Ueda as Gigi Andalucia, Junichi Suwabe as Kenneth Sleg, and Soma Saito as Lane Aim.
The announcement was accompanied by a 30-second teaser, offering a glimpse into the film’s stunning animation and atmospheric tone. While it doesn’t reveal dialogue, the teaser successfully builds anticipation with its striking visuals and hints of the conflict to come.
Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway – The Sorcery of Nymph Circe is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan in Winter 2026. For those looking to revisit the story, the first film is currently available on Netflix—the perfect way to prepare for the next chapter in this gripping saga.
