JAKARTA – Legendary music group F-FOREVER successfully entertained thousands of fans during their highly anticipated concert, “F-FOREVER 1st World Tour,” held at Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Friday night (May 29). The emotional performance marked the group’s long-awaited reunion after two decades, making it a memorable occasion for fans who had waited years to see them share the stage once again.

The group, consisting of Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Vic Chou, and special guest Ashin from Mayday, delivered an impressive three-hour show that ran from approximately 8:00 p.m. until nearly 11:00 p.m. Throughout the evening, the performers treated the audience to around 40 songs, creating an unforgettable musical journey filled with nostalgia and emotion.

A wave of nostalgia swept through the arena from the moment the opening song began. Most of the audience consisted of millennials and longtime supporters who grew up with the iconic 2000s television drama Meteor Garden, which helped propel the members to international fame.

The Jakarta concert is part of a three-day series at the same venue, running from May 28 to May 30. Due to overwhelming demand, fans from across Indonesia and neighboring countries gathered to witness the historic reunion.

The grandeur of the concert was enhanced by a sophisticated 360-degree stage design featuring a rotating main platform, ensuring that every audience member enjoyed a close-up experience. The production also featured cinematic visuals and dramatic theatrical effects, including rain simulations, lightning, shattered-glass projections, and thick clouds of smoke that elevated the atmosphere throughout the night.

In addition to performing as a group, each member showcased their individual talents through special solo segments. Vanness Wu kicked off the solo performances with an energetic set, followed by Vic Chou and Ashin. The emotional highlight of the evening came when Jerry Yan took the stage alone.

Shortly after the opening number, Vanness greeted the audience warmly.

“Hello Jakarta, how are you? We are so happy to see you tonight,” he said, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

Vic Chou also delighted fans by speaking in Indonesian.

“Aku cinta padamu,” he said, meaning “I love you,” prompting an enthusiastic response from the audience.

The mood shifted to a more emotional tone when Jerry Yan performed the English version of “Shimian Xin” (“Insomnia Letter”). With tears welling in his eyes, the actor shared a heartfelt message with fans.

“Sometimes, when you come to see me, it’s not because you are no longer happy. You may simply need a moment to rest,” he said emotionally.

Jerry continued by encouraging fans to find happiness and strength within themselves.

“I want you to be happy in your life and keep smiling—not because of me, but because you are the one who shines,” he added, earning thunderous applause from the audience.

He concluded his touching speech by expressing gratitude to fans who have remained loyal throughout his career.

“Thank you for staying by my side. I will continue to do my best for as long as I can,” Jerry said.

The ultimate moment of nostalgia arrived when the audience joined together in a massive singalong of the beloved song “Ni Yao De Ai.” Fans filled the arena with their voices, creating one of the most memorable moments of the evening.

The first night of the concert officially concluded with the iconic song “Liu Xing Yu (Meteor Rain),” the main soundtrack of Meteor Garden.
