JAKARTA, August 10, 2026 — C-Drama fans in Indonesia, this is your chance to get closer to one of the genre’s rising stars! iQIYI is bringing International Global Ambassador Cheng Lei to Jakarta for the first-ever iQIYI Starship 2026, taking place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Mini Atrium, Gandaria City, Jakarta.

The event marks Cheng Lei’s first visit to Indonesia, making it a special moment for fans who have followed his work on screen and are eager to see the actor in person.

Cheng Lei has become a familiar face among C-Drama audiences through several iQIYI titles, including Legend of the Female General and Shadow Love in 2025. Most recently, he starred in How Dare You!?, which emerged as one of the most popular Chinese-language dramas globally in the first quarter of 2026 and ranked among iQIYI’s top global C-Drama chart titles following its release.

In How Dare You!?, he takes on the challenging role of Xiahou Dan/Zhang San, a character with two contrasting sides in a story that combines time travel, political intrigue, and romance. The dual nature of the character gives Cheng Lei plenty of room to showcase his versatility as an actor.

His performance in Shadow Love presented another demanding challenge. In the historical romance drama, Cheng Lei portrayed three different characters — Jin An, Duan Ao Deng, and Prince Annan — each with their own identities and personalities.

To make those transformations more convincing, Cheng Lei also underwent intensive physical training during production, further demonstrating his dedication to bringing each character to life.
