Indonesian fans of CLOSE YOUR EYES have been hit with an unexpected update. The group’s upcoming concert in Surabaya, originally scheduled for August 28, 2026, has officially been canceled.
Promoter Maryhouse Media announced the cancellation through its official social media channels on Saturday, August 8, 2026, leaving fans — known as CLOSERs — surprised by the news, especially with only around three weeks left before the scheduled show.
The concert was supposed to take place at Jatim Expo Surabaya as part of CLOSE YOUR EYES 1st Tour [Beyond Your Eyes] in Surabaya.
So, what exactly happened? And more importantly, is the Jakarta concert still happening?
Surabaya Concert Canceled Due to Unexpected Local Conditions

In its announcement to CLOSERs, Maryhouse Media explained that the Surabaya concert could no longer go ahead as planned due to unexpected local conditions beyond the organizer’s control.
The promoter apologized to fans for the inconvenience caused by the sudden cancellation.
The Surabaya show was originally set to be the first stop of CLOSE YOUR EYES’ debut tour in Indonesia, making the cancellation particularly disappointing for fans who had been looking forward to welcoming the group to the country.
But while the Surabaya show is off, fans have not completely lost their chance to see CLOSE YOUR EYES live.
Fans Get Two Options: Refund or Transfer to Jakarta
To accommodate ticket holders, Maryhouse Media has offered two options for fans who purchased tickets to the Surabaya concert.
Option 1: Full Ticket Refund
Fans can request a refund for the full ticket price.
However, administrative and platform fees will not be included in the refund.
Those who choose the refund option will also have their Surabaya tickets canceled and will no longer be able to use them to attend another CLOSE YOUR EYES show.
Option 2: Move Your Ticket to Jakarta
Still want to see CLOSE YOUR EYES perform in Indonesia? There is another option.
Surabaya ticket holders can transfer their tickets to the Jakarta concert at no additional cost, provided they choose the same ticket category.
And there’s an extra perk: fans who choose the transfer option will receive one complimentary Silver ticket as compensation.
Maryhouse Media has provided separate forms for fans who wish to request a refund or transfer their tickets.
According to the promoter, both forms are available from the date of the announcement until Friday, August 15, 2026, at 10 p.m. WIB. Requests submitted after the deadline will not be processed.
Good News: The Jakarta Concert Is Still On

For CLOSERs who are worried about the status of the Jakarta show, there’s good news.
The Jakarta concert will go ahead as scheduled on August 30, 2026, at Basket Hall Senayan, Jakarta.
As of the time of publication, tickets for all categories were still available. Fans can choose from:
- VIP CAT 1
- VIP CAT 2
- VIP CAT 3
- GOLD
- SILVER
“The Jakarta show will still take place as scheduled on August 30, 2026, at Basket Hall Senayan. We hope to meet all CLOSERs there,” Maryhouse Media said in its closing statement.
For fans who were originally planning to attend the Surabaya show, the Jakarta concert could therefore be the perfect alternative — especially with the added bonus of a complimentary Silver ticket for those who transfer their tickets.
CLOSE YOUR EYES’ First Visit to Indonesia
Formed through the survival program PROJECT 7, CLOSE YOUR EYES is a seven-member boy group that officially debuted on April 2, 2025, under UNCORE.
Since their debut, the group has expanded their activities through various performances and international schedules. Their Beyond Your Eyes tour marks their first world tour, taking the group to audiences outside Korea.
Before arriving in Indonesia, CLOSE YOUR EYES had already brought the tour to several destinations, including South Korea, Japan, Russia, and Hong Kong.
Following their Indonesian shows, the Beyond Your Eyes tour is also scheduled to continue across North America.
For Indonesian CLOSERs, the Jakarta concert remains a particularly special occasion. It will mark CLOSE YOUR EYES’ first visit to Indonesia, giving fans their first opportunity to see the seven-member group perform live in the country.
So while Surabaya may no longer be part of the itinerary, the excitement isn’t over yet.
Jakarta is still waiting — and CLOSE YOUR EYES are still coming.
