JAKARTA, August 14, 2026 — The Script are heading back to Indonesia.
The Irish pop-rock powerhouse has officially announced that its “Man in the Arena Tour 2027” will stop in Jakarta on Saturday, April 3, 2027, bringing the band’s signature emotional anthems, global hits, and newest music to Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta.
Promoted by Color Asia Live, the Jakarta show will mark another major chapter in The Script’s long-standing relationship with Indonesian fans. The band previously returned to Indonesia for the Satellites World Tour in Jakarta and Surabaya in February 2025, drawing thousands of devoted fans.
And this time, they’re coming back on an even bigger arena scale.
A Night of The Script’s Biggest Hits
Fans can expect a powerful setlist featuring some of The Script’s most beloved songs, including “Breakeven,” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Hall of Fame,” and “Superheroes.”
The concert will also showcase songs from the band’s latest era, creating a set that blends nostalgia with new material.
Organizers promise a full-scale arena production featuring world-class stage design, sound, lighting, and visual elements, specially created for the indoor venue at the heart of the GBK complex.
The Jakarta concert will also feature a special guest, although the identity of the guest artist has yet to be revealed. Fans will have to wait for the official announcement from the promoter.
Tickets Start at Rp650,000
The first ticket prices for The Script’s Jakarta comeback start at Rp650,000 during the presale period.
Ticket sales will take place in two stages:
- Presale: Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. WIB
- General sale: Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. WIB
Tickets will be sold through the official ticketing partner TipTip.id, via its website and app, as well as the official concert website.
The full ticket categories, pricing tiers, and seating plan will be announced soon through the promoter’s official social media channels, @ColorAsiaLive.
With The Script’s huge Indonesian fanbase, fans are expected to move quickly once ticket sales open.
Color Asia Live Promises a Bigger Concert Experience
David Ananda, Managing Director of Color Asia Live, said the promoter is proud to bring The Script back to Indonesia Arena.
He highlighted the venue as one of the most modern indoor arenas within the GBK complex and emphasized that the concert will also support the promotional campaign for The Script’s latest single, “Man in the Arena.”
According to Ananda, The Script’s loyal Indonesian following made their return to Jakarta an especially exciting prospect.
After the success of the band’s 2025 shows, Color Asia Live is preparing an even more ambitious production for the 2027 concert, with high-quality audio, striking visuals, and an arena experience designed to make every fan feel part of the show.
The Story Behind “Man in the Arena”
The concert takes its name from The Script’s latest single, “Man in the Arena,” a song inspired by a famous speech by former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt.
Frontman Danny O’Donoghue previously explained through The Script’s official Facebook page that the song’s message centers on courage and perseverance.
Rather than celebrating those who stand outside and criticize, the song pays tribute to people who are willing to step into the arena, take risks, face failure, and keep fighting for what they believe in.
That message serves as a fitting theme for a band whose career has been built around emotional storytelling, resilience, and songs that connect deeply with listeners.
“Man in the Arena” is also the lead single from The Script’s upcoming album, The User’s Guide to Being Human, which is scheduled for release on August 14, 2026.
From Dublin to the World
Formed in Dublin, Ireland, in 2008, The Script quickly established themselves as one of the world’s most successful pop-rock bands.
Fronted by Danny O’Donoghue, the band made a global impact with their self-titled debut album, The Script, released in 2008.
The album produced two of their most recognizable songs, “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” and “Breakeven,” and reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. It eventually achieved multi-platinum status, with more than 600,000 copies sold.
“Breakeven” became an especially major international hit, earning Platinum certification from the RIAA after selling more than one million copies in the United States and reaching No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2010.
