Studio STARIUM at CGV Grand Indonesia was filled with purple on Saturday (August 22, 2026), as hundreds of fans gathered for a special day with Jacob of THE BOYZ. Some fans had already arrived as early as 9 a.m., even before the mall officially opened, all eager to meet the Canadian-born K-pop idol.

Their excitement was well worth the wait. Jakarta became one of the first stops of JACOB 1st Asia Showcase: More Than Words Tour 2026, marking Jacob’s first-ever solo showcase and his first stop in Southeast Asia.

Throughout the event, Jacob delivered plenty of surprises, from heartfelt conversations and unexpected covers to acoustic performances and special interactions with fans. He also changed outfits three times, giving each segment of the showcase its own distinct charm.

A Special Moment with Adrian Khalif

One of the biggest surprises came with the appearance of Indonesian singer Adrian Khalif as a special guest.

The two shared the stage and sang together, including a performance of “2001.” Their chemistry immediately won over the crowd, creating one of the showcase’s most memorable moments.

Jacob also revealed a fun connection between the two artists: they had been recommending songs to each other. Adrian thanked Jacob for introducing him to certain music, while Jacob had also discovered Adrian’s songs through their conversations.

It was a small but meaningful moment that showed how music can connect artists from completely different backgrounds.

Jacob, His Guitar, and a Room Full of Deobis

The showcase became even more intimate when Jacob picked up his guitar and performed an acoustic medley of THE BOYZ songs.

One of the highlights was “Timeless,” which quickly turned into a massive sing-along. With Jacob playing the guitar and Deobis joining in, the entire studio seemed to become one giant choir.

The atmosphere became even more emotional when Jacob performed “Bergema Sampai Selamanya” by Nadif.

The Indonesian song turned out to be a particularly special choice. Jacob revealed that the song was actually on his playlist, a detail that made the performance feel even more personal to his Indonesian fans.

Hearing Jacob sing a local favorite in his own acoustic style was undoubtedly one of the sweetest surprises of the night.

A Beautiful Ending Under the Stars

Before the showcase came to an end, Jacob performed “Stars in the Sky,” accompanied by a special fan project.

As the song played, the venue was illuminated by white and yellow lightsticks, creating a warm, dreamy atmosphere that perfectly matched the song’s title.

The sight of Jacob performing while hundreds of fans lit up the room was a fitting conclusion to a showcase filled with music, laughter, surprises, and heartfelt moments.
