Jakarta – South Korean singer and EXO member Chanyeol successfully held his first solo concert in Indonesia.
The concert took place at the Beach City International Stadium in Jakarta on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Titled 2024 CHANYEOL LIVE TOUR: 都市風景 (City-scape) in JAKARTA, the concert was promoted by Dyandra Global Edutainment.
The main event of the concert started at 3:00 PM WIB with the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” followed by Chanyeol’s opening performance.
Lasting for about two hours, Chanyeol’s concert created beautiful memories for the EXOLs (EXO’s fanbase) in attendance.
The concert opened with Chanyeol performing “Back Again” and “Good Enough,” which was greeted with high enthusiasm from the fans.
Chanyeol performed several songs from his mini-album, his hit songs, and a medley of EXO songs.
In addition to singing, Chanyeol surprised his fans by flawlessly performing “Inikah Cinta.”
Chanyeol also had a casual chat with the fans.
During this moment, Chanyeol shared that he had filmed content for YouTube with Indonesian YouTuber Jerome Polin.
Filming with Jerome was a fun experience for him, as they got to try various Indonesian foods, such as sate taichan, which he remembered the most.
Moreover, Chanyeol mentioned that he quickly felt a sense of closeness with Jerome because they both shared an interest in Japan.
Chanyeol enjoys anime and is fluent in Japanese, while Jerome had studied in Japan and is also fluent in the language.
“He studied in Japan, and what’s funny is, neither of us is Japanese. I’m Korean, and Jerome is Indonesian, but we both kept speaking in Japanese,” said Chanyeol.
Chanyeol also encouraged the fans to watch the content with Jerome once it’s uploaded.
