LUN8, Paul Kim, and OH MY GIRL Celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of the Korea 360 K-Brands and Hallyu Promotion Center in Indonesia

 

Jakarta, November 25, 2024 – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, along with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), will host the “KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER>” (pronounced: Together), an event that will be attended by thousands of Korean culture fans in Indonesia. The event, which will be held at the Main Atrium of KOREA 360, LOTTE Mall Jakarta on December 6-7, 2024, marks the second anniversary of KOREA 360 as a center for promoting K-Brands and Korean culture in Jakarta. The celebration will feature performances by three highly anticipated Korean artists: rookie boy group LUN8, solo artist Paul Kim, and the fairy-themed girl group OH MY GIRL.

Before their performances, the artists will attend a press conference for a Q&A session about their current activities and future plans. Afterward, they will participate in a handprinting ceremony at COLLECT Town KOREA 360. This will add to the collection, bringing the total to 162 handprints that fans can visit. The press conference will be held on December 6, 2024, with LUN8 and Paul Kim, and on December 7, 2024, with OH MY GIRL.

The first day of the “KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER>” celebration will feature performances by LUN8 and Paul Kim. LUN8, a rookie boy group known for their energetic performances, will perform three of their hit songs at the Fanmeeting DAY 1. LUN8 debuted with 8 members on June 15, 2023, with their first mini album “CONTINUE?”, and their song “Voyager” has received positive feedback from fans.

After the Fanmeeting with LUN8, Paul Kim will hold a Mini Concert. Known for his soothing voice, Paul Kim will perform three of his popular songs, including the soundtrack “So Long” from the drama series Hotel del Luna. The atmosphere at the Main Atrium of KOREA 360 will be emotional, as Paul Kim’s beautiful voice will transport the audience into the heartwarming scenes of their favorite dramas. In addition to the Mini Concert, Paul Kim will conclude Day 1 with a Hi-Touch and Group Photo session for lucky fans.

On the second day, LUN8 and OH MY GIRL will continue to entertain fans with various sessions. LUN8 will return to the Main Atrium for Fanmeeting DAY 2, where the members’ fresh charm is expected to captivate the audience. The boy group, who recently released their second mini album “AWAKENING” in August 2024, will showcase their new songs.

Meanwhile, OH MY GIRL will bring sweetness to the event with their Mini Concert, performing their hit songs at the Main Atrium of KOREA 360. Their cheerful performance, with their signature cute concept, will make the atmosphere even more lively. OH MY GIRL debuted on April 21, 2015, with the mini album OH MY GIRL, and currently, as a 6-member group, they made their latest comeback with the mini album Dreamy Resonance on August 24, 2024. Some lucky fans will also get the chance to participate in a Fansigning session with OH MY GIRL to close the “KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER>” event.

More than 300 selected fans each day will receive premium access to watch the event. These fans are loyal visitors of KOREA 360 who previously participated in a challenge to gain free access. Over 850 fans participated in this challenge, competing for Silver and Diamond access categories to get closer to their idols. In addition to enjoying the performances, fans who receive Diamond access will have the rare opportunity to interact directly with the idols, such as Hi-Touch and Group Photos with Paul Kim on Day 1 and Fansigning with OH MY GIRL on Day 2. This moment is highly significant for fans who have long awaited the chance to meet and greet their idols in person.

The “KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER>” event is organized with the support of KOCCA Indonesia, the official representative office of the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) in Indonesia. This event is not just a celebration, but also a form of appreciation from KOREA 360 to its loyal visitors. In its two years of operation, KOREA 360 has successfully built a solid community of Korean culture fans in Jakarta. By hosting various exciting events and intensively introducing Korean culture, KOREA 360 aims to continue offering innovative and engaging activities, as well as presenting exclusive collections of Korean products at COLLECT Town for visitors to enjoy.

“Since its official opening in December 2022, KOREA 360 has recorded a total of around 3.2 million visitors,” said KOCCA Indonesia’s Regional Director, Kim Young Soo. He also explained that KOCCA Indonesia has successfully brought many Korean artists to meet their Indonesian fans at this K-Brands promotion center.

“We want to express our gratitude to Korean culture fans in Indonesia by bringing three popular K-pop artists to celebrate the second anniversary of KOREA 360 this year,” he added.

KOREA 360, as a center for promoting Korean culture, was established to support the overseas promotion and expansion of Hallyu content and related Korean industries. KOREA 360 has been operating since December 2022, with the support of a collaboration between nine government agencies from the Republic of Korea, including the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), Korean Cultural Center (KCC), Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute (KCII), Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE).

For your information, Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA Indonesia) is an agency under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, established to support the development of Korean creative content both domestically and globally. Since becoming the first Southeast Asian branch in October 2016, KOCCA Indonesia has played a significant role in promoting and enhancing cooperation in the Korean creative industry, including broadcasting, animation & characters, music, fashion, comics, games, and immersive content, not only in Indonesia but also in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Since its opening, KOREA 360 has hosted various K-pop and Korean culture events. As of October 2024, KOREA 360 has successfully organized over 176 events, including mini concerts and K-pop artist fansign events, attracting a total of about 3.2 million visitors. Additionally, there are 717 brands representing Korea, with more than 8,200 products on display in this public space.

KOREA 360 features several zones for visitors to enjoy, including KOREA 360 ROAD, STAR 360, PHOTO 360 WITH K-STAR, CAFE 360, KOREA 360 STAGE, STAR GALLERY, and COLLECT Town, which consists of CONTENT Zone, ORGANIC Zone, LIVING & LIFESTYLE Zone, EATING Zone, CULTURE Zone, and TOUR Zone. WITHMUU, which officially sells K-pop merchandise from Korea, opened its first spin-off store in June 2024, supported by KOREA 360. In addition, there are also exciting facilities that visitors can enjoy for free, including VIVID 360, 360 COIN Noraebang, K-pop Dance Zling, and monthly KOREA 360 events.

LUN8 is a boy group under the Fantagio agency, which debuted on June 15, 2023. The group consists of 8 members: Jinsu, Chael, Takuma, Junwoo, Dohyun, Ian, Ji Eunho, and Eunseop. LUN8 debuted with their first mini album titled CONTINUE?, and in August 2024, they made a successful comeback with their mini album AWAKENING. One member of LUN8, Eunseop, will not participate in the KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER> event.

Paul Kim is a male solo singer from South Korea who debuted on January 21, 2014, with the single Would You Like Some Coffee?. Known for his soothing voice, Paul Kim has sung several popular K-drama soundtracks such as Every Day, Every Moment for the series Should We Kiss First?, Can’t Get Over You for Queen of Tears, and So Long for Hotel del Luna, among others. One of his most listened-to songs is Me After You.

OH MY GIRL is a girl group under WM Entertainment that debuted on April 21, 2015, with their mini album OH MY GIRL. Currently, OH MY GIRL is active with 6 members: Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Yubin, and Arin. They recently made a comeback with their new mini album Dreamy Resonance on August 24, 2024. One member of OH MY GIRL, Hyojung, will not participate in the KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER> event.
