The Korean version of You Are the Apple of My Eye will soon be coming to Indonesia! This announcement was made through the CGV KREASI YouTube channel on Sunday, February 2, 2025, where the trailer for this popular Taiwanese film was shared.
You Are the Apple of My Eye is a romance film that originally premiered in 2011. Set in a school, it showcases the lives of teenagers, from mischievous students to model ones. The story focuses on first love, a common theme in youth films, which doesn’t end in school but continues into adulthood. The chemistry and interactions between the characters are highly anticipated, especially since the original film was such a huge success, setting high expectations for the remake.
Directed by Cho Young Myeong, the Korean version of the film had its world premiere at the 29th Busan International Film Festival on October 3, 2024, and will be released in South Korean theaters on February 21, 2025.
While there’s no exact date for its release in Indonesia yet, CGV has confirmed that the film will indeed make its way to Indonesian cinemas.
This remake marks Dahyun of TWICE’s debut on the big screen. There has been some debate regarding her casting, as despite her drama appearances, she is seen as less experienced for a major film like this, which has a strong fan base. Still, many are curious to see if Dahyun and Jinyoung can bring the iconic characters from the original film to life.
Film Synopsis:

Despite their different backgrounds and personalities, they grow closer over time. As they navigate their teenage years together, they share moments of love, misunderstandings, and personal growth.
