Jakarta – Saturday, June 7, 2025 – Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2025 (#AFAID25) turns up the excitement this year with the debut of “MEIZU x SHADOW CORRIDOR”, a free haunted house experience open to all attendees from June 6 to 8, 2025, at Hall A, Jakarta Convention Center.
This horror attraction blends a Japanese-style haunted house with an immersive labyrinth experience. Making its first appearance in Indonesia, this chilling event brings one of Japan’s most renowned horror concepts to the local stage—exclusively for AFAID visitors.
What is OBAKEN?
OBAKEN is a Tokyo-based horror entertainment group located in Honancho. Founded in 2012, they specialize in haunted attractions where participants become the protagonist in their own horror story. OBAKEN has produced a wide range of immersive horror events, theatrical performances, and game collaborations.
Renowned for creating deeply immersive and psychologically thrilling experiences, OBAKEN’s productions are crafted using a combination of skilled actors, lighting, sound design, and elaborate stage setups—delivering story-driven horror far beyond cheap scares.
What is MEIZU x SHADOW CORRIDOR?
Shadow Corridor is a critically acclaimed 3D Japanese horror game developed by Kazuki Shiroma, beloved by fans of traditional Japanese horror and maze exploration. This collaboration brings the game’s nightmarish world into reality, inviting visitors to step into a terrifying, real-life adaptation.
Plagued by recurring nightmares and unshakable dread, you’re advised to visit a mysterious doctor. In his dimly lit clinic, he tells you that to end the nightmares—you must face them. As he chants incomprehensible spells, your vision blurs, sounds fade, and you are pulled into a twisted, hospital-like labyrinth.
Surrounded by eerie noises and roaming spirits, you and your group must find five spirit orbs and place them on an altar before time runs out. Fail, and your protective talisman will be seized—condemning you to remain trapped in this nightmare world forever.
