South Korean indie rock band CNBLUE successfully held their 2024 CNBLUE Live ‘CNBLUENTITY’ in Jakarta concert on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at ICE BSD City, South Tangerang. They opened the concert with the songs “I’m a Loner” and “Love”. Promoted by Sparkling Star Entertainment with 99 Ways Production as a production partner, this concert is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience for fans in Indonesia.
Jung Yong Hwa, Kang Min Hyuk, and Lee Jung Shin performed for 3.5 hours to entertain their fans, BOICE Indonesia, who have been waiting for them for 7 years. “It feels very happy after 7 years that we are complete again,” said Jung Shin after performing the first 4 songs.
Then, the three CNBLUE members took turns saying, “I really miss you guys” in Indonesian. They are very grateful to BOICE Indonesia for welcoming them so wonderfully. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Jakarta, but you guys really enjoyed this concert tremendously,” said Yong Hwa.
Unlike his two colleagues, Min Hyuk had attended an event in Jakarta in early March 2024. “I went to Jakarta two months ago; it feels better to meet you guys. Today we spend together, and we will make you fall in love with our charm,” said Min Hyuk.
CNBLUE also seems to have learned some Indonesian words and slang terms they try to throw. Several times, CNBLUE had to imitate sentences mentioned by the translator during the concert, such as “best, all beautiful,” Yong Hwa said after singing the 7th song, “You’re So Fine”.
In addition, the three members also called out “light up, my brother!” “mantul”, “steady”, and “can you be this cool?” which was then greeted with screams and laughter from the fans. CNBLUE performed so energetically and managed to make the BOICE scream hysterically.
They wondered why the audience in the front area of the stage was sitting while those at the back were standing. Of course, it was in accordance with the ticket categories made by the promoter.
“I want everyone to jump up and down; if you’re sitting, there’s no meaning, so it’s not exciting,” said Yong Hwa. Eventually, CNBLUE and BOICE agreed to stand up if requested by the band members for certain songs.
However, there was a moment when the audience in the front area decided to return to their seats so that the audience standing in the back area would not be blocked. “I was very touched; the friends in the front thought of the friends in the back; Jakarta’s manners are extraordinary and great,” said Jung Shin.
CNBLUE performed a total of 25 songs, including 5 songs during the encore. The songs performed were not the same as their previous concerts in Seoul and Singapore. Starting from “Intuition”, “Hey You”, “Love Light”, “Love Cut”, “Cinderella”, “Between Us” and “Love Girl”.
