Last Saturday, 20 July, KEY, who debuted as a member of SHINee, successfully held his first solo concert tour 2024 KEYLAND ON : AND ON in JAKARTA at The Kasablanka and promoted by CK Star Entertainment ID.
Lil Freaks were regaled by KEY’s stunning 2-hours long performance, amongst the luckiest Shawols in the region who got to enjoy an intimate yet electrifying night with their idol. In spite of his previous appearances in Jakarta, this concert is something special for KEY and Shawols alike because it is his first ever solo concert in Indonesia.
KEY opened the night with the latest song from his second mini-album “Good & Great”, a pop dance song with a catchy melody and witty lyrics that resonates with workers worldwide. He treated fans to an incredible 20 song performance, including his latest Japan original single “Tounge Tied” that just recently released as well as familiar fan favorites “Gasoline” and “BAD LOVE”.
Throughout the concert, KEY showed a lot of his charm to all Lil Freaks in Jakarta with his energetic performance. At the end of the first leg of the show, KEY greeted his fans and introduced himself in Indonesian “Halo Saya KEY SHINee” (Hi, I’m KEY SHINee) and even delighted audiences with popular phrases in traditional Indonesian languages such as “piye kabare?” and “kumaha damang?” (“how are you?” in Javanese and Sundanese respectively). KEY also told his fans that he really loves Indonesian food like Satay and Kerupuk (traditional chips), which was greeted with resounding and enthusiastic cheer.
Lil Freaks did not let their idol KEY do all the heavylifting, fervently singing and cheering while waving their signature lightsticks and hand banners detailing “Our Captain is Very Cool”. Indonesian Lil Freaks’ fervor and excitement definitely left an impression on the performers that night, and will not be forgotten quite some time to come.
The 2024 KEYLAND ON : AND ON in JAKARTA show appeared to come to a close as KEY left the stage after “G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time)”. Listening to Lil Freaks passionate calls for an “Encore”, KEY finally returned to the stage in appreciation of his fans. The show officially concluded with a group photo with the audience, during which Lil Freaks surprised KEY by breaking out in song with the iconic track “Good & Great”.
It was clear from the gratitude on his face that KEY was truly touched by the love he received from Indonesian Lil Freaks, and there is no doubt that night will be a night to remember for everyone in attendance for years to come.
