South Korean basketball athlete Lee Gwan-hee spoke openly about the possibility of having a career as a basketball player in the Indonesian Basketball League, or IBL. Lee Gwan-hee greeted his fans at an event titled ‘Single Shoot, Meet & Greet with Gwan Hee, on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
For information, Lee Gwan-hee became globally recognized after becoming one of the participants in the most popular Korean dating show, which aired on Netflix, Single Inferno Season 3.
Various dramas occurred in the dating show, making Lee Gwan-hee so highlighted, especially the story of his approach with other participants, Choi Hye Seon, Choi Minji, and Yo Si Eun.
Lee Gwan-hee at that time was labeled a red flag man, because he was considered to be gaslighting the female participants.

But beyond that, his character is very humorous and friendly, which makes him much loved by fans. During the Meet and Greet event, Lee Gwan-hee shared the story of how he came to love basketball rather than other sports.
“Actually, when I was a kid, I was a running athlete, and when I was a kid, I used to play basketball with my friends, but I was told that my basketball skills were lacking,” he explained. Eventually, little Gwan-hee practiced diligently until he became a professional basketball player.
He also said that he started playing basketball at the age of 12, so he has been playing for a total of around 22 years.
“From childhood, there are many dreams, but if he doesn’t become a basketball player, he might become a famous actor,” he said.
The first time he went to Indonesia, Gwan-hee admitted that he was surprised by the cost of living in Jakarta, so the next time he goes to Indonesia, he will prepare more money.

Then the athlete was asked if there was an offer to have a career as a basketball player in Indonesia and whether it was accepted or not. “The remaining 1-year contract at the Korean basketball club, if the offer is good, why not?” he said. He openly admitted that he wanted to take part as a basketball player in Indonesia if there was a good offer.
Lee Gwan-hee has now defended a basketball club called LG Sakers since 2021 in the Korean Basketball League. He plays as a shooting guard and has an average of 9 points per game.
The event started at 15.00 WIB, initially several models strutted in the middle of the basketball court, displaying the latest collection from the Russ & Co brand.
Then the long-awaited star Lee Gwan-Hee finally entered the court and was immediately greeted by the fans. The event, a collaboration between Gwan Hee and Russ & Co, featured various activities, such as a casual talk, basketball games, and a hi-bye session with Lee Gwan-hee.

In the casual talk session, Gwan-hee shared that he had a career as a professional basketball player. But now, after Single Inferno aired, it was a big success. He started a YouTube channel and shares his daily activities.
Gwan-hee shared that she almost participated in Single Inferno season 2, but her filming schedule conflicted with basketball. Then she finally had the opportunity to participate in Single Inferon Season 3, and she felt very grateful to receive a lot of love and support from the fans. In the audience, Park Min Kyu, who was also a participant in Single Inferno 3, was also present.
Min Kyu came to support his friend. “I think he was born to be a star; everything is so natural; everything is so good,” said Min Kyu. The Meet and Greet event held fun basketball by inviting Priscillia Karen (an Indonesian women’s basketball national team player), Christian Gunawan (a former Satria Muda player), and Michael Olindo (an actor), while Gwan-hee is a team with two lucky fans.

Gwan-hee also showed his skill in shooting three points or three point shoot. He did a left-handed shoot.
