On Saturday (4/5), the annual Korean music festival organized by MECIMAPRO, Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024, was successfully held. Taking place at Beach City International Stadium, the six lineups, including Xikers, XIUMIN, CHEN, Young K, BOY STORY, and DAY6 successfully rocked the stage of Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024.
The event kicked off at 16:00 with an exciting opening performance by Xiumin, who sang his solo debut song titled Brand New. EXO-Ls warmly welcomed Xiumin’s performance, marking EXO’s long-awaited return to Indonesia for a concert.
Following Xiumin, the stage was lit up by the energetic performance of the group under KQ Entertainment, Xikers. It was their first time coming to and performing in Indonesia. The ten members of Xikers—Minjae, Junmin, Sumin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun, Hunter, and Yechan—captivated the eyes of fans and non-fans alike with their energetic and fiery performances. They performed several songs, including We Don’t Stop, Tricky House, and Red Sun.
The first session was concluded by the charming performance of EXO’s main vocalist, CHEN. Towards the end of the first session, CHEN mesmerized the audience with his beautiful voice. He performed several songs, including Love Scene, Beautiful Goodbye, and the popular Everytime, which is the OST of Descendants of The Sun.
As the night progressed, fans became more excited to see the performances of the lineups in the second session. It was opened by the cool performance of Young K (Day 6). With his live band, Young K successfully enchanted the ears and eyes of fans with his unique voice. He performed some of his solo hits at Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024, such as Let It Be Summer, Microphone, Babo, and Best Song.
After Young K’s performance, it was time for their junior group from the same agency, JYP Entertainment, BOY STORY, to show off their fiery and lit performance. Hanyu, Zihao, Xinlong, Zeyu, Ming Rui, and Shuyang successfully captivated both fans and non-fans, even though they performed in Chinese. BOY STORY showcased their talent in singing songs that resonated with the hearts of many.
Lastly, the Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024 event was concluded by the most anticipated performance by fans, DAY6. DAY6 opened their performance by singing Welcome To The Show. Before DAY6 took the stage, MYDAY’s enthusiasm was already high as they sang along to DAY6’s songs while waiting for DAY6 to appear on stage. DAY6 closed their performance by performing the song Best Part.
In conclusion, MECIMAPRO, as the promoter, hinted that Saranghaeyo Indonesia will return next year with lineups that are equally as cool as this year’s. Previously, MECIMAPRO has been organizing this annual event since 2016 by bringing many cool K-Pop artist lineups.
