Yeo Jin Go held his first fan meeting in Jakarta. Titled Closer to Yeo U, the event was held at the iNews Tower Hall on Saturday (5/18/2024). Interestingly in future plans, Yeo Jin Goo will invite his family to Indonesia, especially Jakarta. “Someday I will invite all my family members to Jakarta,” Yeo Jin Goo said in a press conference. Because Yeo Jin Goo was surprised when he arrived in Jakarta, it turned out that many people knew him. “I want to show off, it turns out I’m famous in Jakarta,” he said with a happy face.
In addition, the main actor in the K-Drama Hotel De Luna, Koo Chan Sung, told his first experience eating Padang cuisine. “The food is rich in culture in Korea which is served once a lot, so I really like it and the food also likes it,” he said. “Because I ate a lot, so I exercised a lot so that I could give my best performance for you guys,” he added.
At that moment Yeo Jin Goo also gave a leak of his next work. “I will play an antagonist in his latest movie titled Hijacking next June,” he said. While on the night of his fan meeting, Actor Yeo Jin-goo opened the event singing a song called “Aloha” from the Korean drama “Hospital Playlist”. The song was immediately greeted by Yeo Jin-goo’s fans who filled the theater and immediately sang along with him.
When climbing the stage, Yeo Jin-goo looked quite nervous after seeing hundreds of spectators who packed the venue. At first the singing went well, however, Jin-goo had forgotten the lyrics when singing the last few lyrics.
The audience immediately clapped and helped Yeo Jin-goo continue the song “Aloha” from the drakor “Hospital Playlist”. Jin-goo finally managed to finish his “Aloha” song with a warm greeting. “How are you? My name is Yeo Jin-goo,” he greeted while bowing.
He also said that the opportunity to come to Jakarta was the best because he could meet the fans who had enjoyed his work here. “Every time I want to come to Indonesia and every time my work comes I want to greet my fellow fans. I was given the opportunity to come to Indonesia, my fans who have always existed in my dreams, I can meet in person,” Jin-goo said.
When he arrived in Jakarta at night, after taking a flight from Seoul, South Korea, Jin-goo was touched because many fans were waiting at Soekarno Hatta Airport. He was also worried that he wouldn’t make a good impression on the fans when he first met them. “I want to show my fans my best,” he said.
Indonesia is Yeo Jin-goo’s chosen destination in addition to two destinations on his Asian tour, namely Taiwan and Japan in the “Closer to Yeo U” Fan Meeting.
