Jakarta/BSD City, August 15, 2026 — The magic of Japanese pop culture has officially returned to Indonesia. On Saturday, August 15, Anime Festival Asia Indonesia (AFA ID) 2026 opened its doors at Hall 1 & 2 of ICE BSD City, welcoming thousands of fans eager to celebrate anime, cosplay, gaming, music, and the vibrant world of Japanese pop culture.
This year’s festival marks the 10th edition of Anime Festival Asia in Indonesia, presented by promoters Sozo and PK Entertainment. Running across the weekend of August 15–16, AFA ID 2026 brings together fans, creators, artists, brands, and industry figures for two packed days of entertainment and community celebration.
From 10 a.m., the exhibition halls were already buzzing with excitement as visitors explored a wide variety of booths, activities, games, cosplay showcases, merchandise, and creative experiences.
Celebrating the Magic of Japan Pop Culture
This year’s AFA ID carries the theme “Celebrate the Magic of Japan Pop Culture,” capturing the creativity, imagination, and passion that have connected Japanese pop culture fans across generations.
Adding to the festival’s visual identity, iconic AFA character Seika returns with a stunning new look created by renowned Japanese illustrator LAM. The new key visual reflects the festival’s spirit while celebrating the imagination and creativity at the heart of anime and Japanese pop culture.
Throughout the two-day event, visitors can enjoy anime exhibitions, cosplay competitions and showcases, music performances, gaming areas, creator collaborations, and exhibition booths featuring a wide range of leading brands.
Among the brands participating this year are AVEX, Crunchyroll, Fitbar, Hello Kingdom, Honda, Honor of Kings, Hydro Coco, iQOO, Kyou Hobby, Lumica, Phoenix Gramedia Indonesia, Rexus, Universal Music Indonesia, and many more.
Star-Studded Guests and Special Meet & Greet Sessions
As AFA Indonesia celebrates its 10th anniversary, the festival is also bringing together an exciting lineup of guests from across the anime, music, and entertainment industries.
Fans have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite stars through highly anticipated meet & greet sessions featuring Noriko Hidaka, known for her voice work in Detective Conan the Movie: Fallen Angel of the Highway; Sally Amaki from Needy Girl Overdose; and Aya Emori and Yuina from Love Live! Superstar!!.
Meet & greet packages include Q&A sessions, autograph opportunities, and exclusive merchandise, with shikishi boards available where applicable.
International music fans will also have the chance to meet Italian artist Dave Rodgers, who will hold an autograph session for fans who purchase his merchandise at the official AFA Shop.
Two Days of Anime, Music, Games, and Community
Beyond the main exhibition, AFA ID 2026 offers a packed weekend for fans of Japanese pop culture and ACG (Anime, Comics, and Games).
From discovering the latest ACG products and meeting creators to watching cosplay showcases and enjoying live music, the festival provides plenty of opportunities for fans to immerse themselves in the culture they love.
The event also serves as a gathering point for the wider community, bringing together longtime fans, newcomers, cosplayers, creators, collectors, gamers, and hobbyists under one roof.
Tickets Still Available
Fans who have yet to join the celebration can still purchase AFA ID 2026 festival and concert tickets, both online and on-site during the two-day event.
For festival admission, the current ticket options include:
2-Day Festival Package: IDR 190,000
1-Day Ticket: IDR 100,000 online
Group Ticket: IDR 490,000
For AFAID 26 Music Fest on August 15, CAT 2 tickets are priced at IDR 900,000, while CAT 3 tickets are IDR 675,000.
Meanwhile, tickets for Togenashi Togeari “Rinne no Kotowari” on August 16 are available at IDR 1,100,000 for CAT 2 and IDR 750,000 for CAT 3.
Ticket prices are subject to increase on the event days, so fans are encouraged to secure their tickets as soon as possible.
