JAKARTA, August 12, 2026 — Anime fans, J-Culture enthusiasts, cosplayers, music lovers, and pop-culture communities are in for a massive weekend as Anime Festival Asia Indonesia (AFAID) celebrates its 10th anniversary on August 15–16, 2026, at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Halls 1 & 2.

Marking a decade of bringing Japanese pop culture closer to fans in Indonesia, AFAID 2026 arrives with an impressive lineup of artists, anime industry figures, voice actors, musicians, creators, cosplayers, and community talents.

Among the biggest names appearing at this year’s festival are Italian Eurobeat legend Dave Rodgers, legendary voice actress Noriko Hidaka, MAPPA President and CEO Manabu Otsuka, and a host of performers and creators from across Asia.

Meet the Stars Behind Beloved Anime and Music

One of the highlights of AFAID 2026 will be its highly anticipated meet & greet sessions, giving fans the opportunity to get closer to some of their favorite artists.

Dave Rodgers will hold a special autograph session for fans who purchase his merchandise at the official AFA Shop. Known worldwide for his iconic Eurobeat sound and his association with the Initial D franchise, Rodgers is expected to be one of the festival’s major attractions.

The meet & greet lineup will also feature Noriko Hidaka, known for her voice work in Detective Conan the Movie: Fallen Angel of the Highway; Sally Amaki from Needy Girl Overdose; and Aya Emori and Yuina from Love Live! Superstar!!.

Depending on availability, meet & greet packages will include Q&A sessions, autograph opportunities, and exclusive merchandise, including shikishi boards.

AFA’s Next Stage Goes Behind the Anime Industry

For fans interested in discovering how anime is actually made, AFA’s Next Stage will offer a closer look at the people behind some of today’s most popular titles.

One of the biggest names on the program is Manabu Otsuka, President and CEO of animation studio MAPPA. He will appear alongside Kiyoshi Matsuda, director of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill.

The stage will also feature VTuber group PANDAVVA, idol group Yume Palette, girl band DARUMA Rollin’, solo artist Aisaka Yuuka, music group MEISHOHIKOKAI, and girl band Togenashi Togeari.

Fans of cosplay can also look forward to appearances by Rukia, Kumose Chio, and Romu from Cosspo!!

With programs connected to titles such as Needy Girl Overdose, Detective Conan the Movie: Fallen Angel of the Highway, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2, and Love Live! Superstar!!, the stage offers something for fans of different corners of the anime world.

LAM Brings His Creative World to Jakarta

Another special guest at this year’s festival is Japanese illustrator LAM, the artist behind AFAID 2026’s key visual.

LAM will appear on August 16 for a talk show and meet & greet session. Fans who want to join the autograph session will need to purchase LAM merchandise worth at least Rp650,000 in a single transaction.

LAM is widely recognized for his distinctive visual style and has worked on projects including the arcade rhythm game WACCA and character designs for hololive Indonesia’s Kureiji Ollie.

For illustration and character-design enthusiasts, his appearance is a chance to see the creative process behind some of Japan’s most recognizable contemporary visual art.

Community, Cosplay, and Creators Take Center Stage

AFAID is not only about celebrity guests. The festival also puts its vibrant fan community at the heart of the experience.

The Community Stage will feature local and regional talents sharing their interests, projects, and passions with fellow fans. Participants include Blue Archive, Titik Kolaborasi Virtual, SEGA Fanclub Indonesia, Arkhive Dnd, Group Z Collective X Chika L for Lights, Anikuma, Little Harmony Orchestra, JKT Airdasher, Odojoget, and OTAGROOVE.

Meanwhile, the Cosplay Hub will bring iconic characters to life through appearances by popular cosplayers including Cxiela, JIAJIA佳佳, Preston Les, Yukitora Keiji, and 小魚XIAOYUKIKO, alongside other cosplay talents.

For those looking to discover unique merchandise and handmade creations, the Creators Hub will feature more than 70 creators from across Asia, offering original artwork, collectibles, crafts, and other creative goods.

AFA Cardverse: A Paradise for TCG Fans

Trading card game enthusiasts will have their own dedicated destination at AFA Cardverse.

The area will feature eight TCG exhibitors, including Plan-B, High Label TCG, StoreVS TCG, MeongTCG, Gameopoly TCG, J Collection TCG, and Celestial Vault.

From rare cards to new releases, Cardverse is designed as a one-stop destination for collectors and players looking to expand their collections—and perhaps discover a few unexpected treasures along the way.

From Hatsune Miku to JOJOCARAVAN

The exhibition floor will also bring together major brands and iconic Japanese pop-culture properties.

Visitors can expect appearances from brands including AVEX, Crunchyroll, Fitbar, Hello Kingdom, Honda, Honor of Kings, Hydro Coco, iQOO, Kyou Hobby, Lumica, Phoenix Gramedia Indonesia, Rexus, and Universal Music Indonesia.

Popular IPs will also have a strong presence, with activities and exclusive merchandise connected to JOJOCARAVAN, HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE!, and Hatsune Miku.

Fans can even stop by the Hatsune Miku Café for themed drinks and exclusive merchandise, adding another colorful experience to the convention floor.

A Music Festival Packed with Japanese Acts

As always, music will be one of AFA’s biggest attractions.

The AFA ID Music Festival will kick off with a star-studded lineup on Saturday, August 15. Performers include Sally Amaki, ASCA, BACK-ON, Isekaijoucho, kz (livetune), and SPYAIR.

Sunday will bring another major highlight as Togenashi Togeari takes the stage for their first-ever concert in Indonesia.

For fans of Japanese music, it is a rare opportunity to experience the artists live in Jakarta as part of AFA’s 10th-anniversary celebration.

Tickets Are Still Available

Festival tickets are still available, although prices are expected to increase on the day of the event.

The 2-Day Festival Package is priced at Rp190,000, while a 1-Day Ticket costs Rp100,000 when purchased online. A Group Ticket is available for Rp490,000.

For the AFAID 26 Music Fest on August 15, CAT 2 tickets are priced at Rp900,000, while CAT 3 tickets cost Rp675,000.

Meanwhile, tickets for Togenashi Togeari’s “Rinne no Kotowari” concert on August 16 are priced at Rp1,100,000 for CAT 2 and Rp750,000 for CAT 3.

With ticket prices set to rise on the day of the event, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance.
