“Keluarga Cemara The Musical Stage Show 2025 is expected to inspire Indonesian families to spend their holidays at the theater. Through a heartfelt story and touching viewing experience, we want everyone to feel like they’re coming home. Family doesn’t always have to mean blood relations like parents and children. On this stage, we hope everyone watching will feel the meaning of returning home. That’s why, for us, the story of Keluarga Cemara remains ever-relevant and timeless,” said Cristian Imanuell, Producer of Keluarga Cemara The Musical Stage Show 2025.

At the Gala Night held at Ciputra Artpreneur, attended by public figures and their families, the show received an enthusiastic welcome. Many guests were visibly moved during several scenes, while others were filled with joy as the cast led the audience in cheerful songs and energetic choreography.

“Indonesia Kaya hopes that through Keluarga Cemara The Musical Stage Show 2025, the audience can experience the warmth of family through story, music, and choreography on stage. Keluarga Cemara The Musical Stage Show 2025 is set to become a major highlight of Indonesia’s musical theater scene this year. Following last year’s success, this year’s edition features a more touching storyline and grander stage design. Director Pasha Prakasa masterfully weaves scene after scene into iconic moments with original songs and choreography. He also integrates a subtle critique of current social issues in Indonesia, viewed through the lens of the Abah and Emak family and their neighbors. In a world overwhelmed by noise and busyness, Pasha presents a familial oasis that extends beyond blood ties—embracing the broader community as part of the family.

“Keluarga Cemara is a story created by Arswendo Atmowiloto, and we believe it remains relevant to Indonesia’s condition at any time. Though written decades ago and adapted across various media, the story’s message is visionary. Through the updates we bring to Abah and Emak’s story, we aim to create an immersive experience for the audience,” said Director Pasha Prakasa.

Simhala Avadana, who serves as lyricist, composer, and also plays the role of Abah, added that the music in this year’s musical will feel more refined. According to him, together with Ifa Fachir as composer and Ivan Tangkulung as music director, they collaborated to elevate the music with improvements that offer something fresh.

“Musically, the show will be far more detailed this year, thanks to the time we had to perfect it. The audience will experience it as if they’re watching for the very first time,” said Simhala Avadana.

The 2025 production stars Taufan Purbo, Simhala Avadana, Andrea Miranda, and Galabby, who return to play Abah and Emak. Meanwhile, Amira Karin, Aisyah Fadhila, Fazka Bahanan, and Quinn Salman reprise their roles as Euis and Ara, but this time rotating as different family pairings.

“Returning as Emak is truly a challenge—it’s been a year, and being trusted with this role again feels like meeting my co-stars for the first time. But we enjoyed the entire process—it felt warm. With the changed family line-up, we had to find new chemistry, but it still feels like coming home,” said Andrea Miranda, who plays Emak.

It’s time to #ReturnToFamily!
