South Korean idol and actor, Cha Eun Woo, has announced that he will hold a VR concert titled Memories. The news was recently shared by his agency, Fantagio.
Cha Eun Woo’s VR concert Memories will be exclusively broadcast at CGV theaters across dozens of countries in Asia and America on June 18.
This Memories VR concert is a new type of VR performance where the audience becomes the main character in a romance story told by Cha Eun Woo, actively participating in shaping and completing the narrative.
Beyond simply watching a performance, this concert offers an interactive journey where viewers will choose memorable items, photos, and locations to collectively create the development and conclusion of the story. The immersive experience makes it feel as though Cha Eun Woo is performing live right in front of the audience, providing a unique level of enjoyment.
An interesting feature of the concert is that depending on the audience’s choices, they can experience different visuals and emotional arcs from Cha Eun Woo for the same song.
The concert’s teaser video and poster also hint at various possible changes, with the phrase “I leave it to your choice, our ending” along with Cha Eun Woo’s mysterious gaze and cinematic vibes.
Cha Eun Woo’s VR concert will be gradually released in 21 cities across Asia and North and South America from June to September. The concert will first debut in South Korea, followed by Japan, the United States, China, Taiwan, Mexico, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
