The first day of Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2025 (AFAID25), held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), was packed with excitement and energy, especially from fans of Japanese culture. The event opened with a warm welcome from the organizers and introduced this year’s theme: “Show Your Support for Cosplay”, highlighting the importance of appreciating cosplay as an art form.

The Cosplay Hub stole the spotlight with appearances by famous cosplayers like Kyon, Kai & El, and Angie0_0, captivating the crowd with their costumes and performances.
Day Stage
Talk shows and exclusive screenings of popular anime such as Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and Delicious in Dungeon drew enthusiastic responses from the audience.
Akiba Stage
Live performances from local bands and idol groups provided lively entertainment for visitors who couldn’t attend the main Concert Stage.
Meet & Greet
Fans got the chance to meet world-renowned cosplayers like HAKKEN, Ying Tze, Baobao, Angie, and Clarissa Punipun in one of the most highly anticipated sessions of the day.
Cosplay Competition – Day 1
The Day 1 cosplay competition featured a variety of talented participants from across Southeast Asia.
Although no official winners were announced for the first day, standout performances by Kyon, Kai & El, and Angie0_0 received high praise from the audience and judges. Their craftsmanship and stage presence made them crowd favorites.
