Jakarta was the final stop of Yoo Yeon Seok’s fan meeting tour across Asia. Held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the JI Expo Kemayoran Theater, the fan meeting lasted for three hours and was promoted by Friedrice Entertainment.
As Jakarta was the last stop on his tour, Yoo Yeon Seok successfully entertained his fans, just as he promised at the beginning of the event.
“Jakarta is the last stop of my fan meeting. Earlier, backstage, I felt sad because Jakarta is the final stop of my tour. Because of that, I decided to give my best to the fans who came. So please, focus on me,” said Yoo Yeon Seok.
During the three-hour event, the fans were continuously amazed by every performance.
From the talk show segments hosted with Indra Herlambang, to the games with fans, and even when he performed around 10 songs for the audience, there was no shortage of fun moments.
One of the most exciting moments that made fans scream in excitement was when Yoo Yeon Seok reminisced about his drama When the Phone Rings, which he starred in alongside Chae Soo Bin. One interesting moment was when he talked about the polaroid photos, including the pre-wedding photos he took with Chae Soo Bin, which appeared in the drama’s final episode. Yoo Yeon Seok shared that he often brings a polaroid camera while filming. The photos he takes are used as set props but are later returned to him.
“I usually bring a polaroid camera every time I film, and I take photos for Baek Se Eon and Hee Joo as well. As for this polaroid photo, it’s mine, so I get to take it home,” said Yoo Yeon Seok, which was met with enthusiastic cheers from the fans.
The fans were also moved by Yoo Yeon Seok’s dedication to the Jakarta fan meeting.
He confessed that he had purchased a special guitar used by the music director Lee to accompany him while performing some songs acoustically.
Moreover, during the fan meeting, fans were treated to Yoo Yeon Seok’s beautiful voice. He performed several songs acoustically, including the OST from the Doraemon animation titled Sunflower Promise. Interestingly, during the middle of the song, Yoo Yeon Seok translated some of the lyrics into Korean.
“I’m performing a song from the Doraemon animation, and in the middle, I changed the lyrics to Korean, which I wrote myself. This is the first time I’m singing this in front of so many people. The song is called Sunflower Promise, and like sunflowers, I promise to always look at you, I promise we will meet again,” he said.
Another touching moment during the fan meeting, which lasted about three hours, was the birthday celebration with fans. After the fans presented a fan project video, they sang a birthday song for the actor. As it is known, Yoo Yeon Seok will turn 41 on April 11. The surprise made him emotional.
“Thank you so much. I’m touched by the video (fan project). Thank you for the memories. Today, thank you very much, this night will never be forgotten. I hope to see you again, and may you all be happy,” he said.
“Thank you, everyone, I’ll come back again, I promise,” Yoo Yeon Seok added in Indonesian.
Afterward, for about 30 more minutes, Yoo Yeon Seok performed several songs acoustically, accompanied by music director Lee on the guitar.
“Thank you so much. The fan meeting is over, and I’m happy to be with you until this time (10:30 PM),” he said.
