JAKARTA – Indonesian fans were treated to an unforgettable night of nostalgia as Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Vic Chou, and Mayday vocalist Ashin took the stage for the spectacular F✦FOREVER City of Stars Concert Tour in Jakarta. The highly anticipated concert series kicked off on May 28 and continued on Friday, May 29, 2026, drawing thousands of devoted fans who had waited more than two decades for this special reunion.

The tour marks the return of three members of the legendary Taiwanese group F4—Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, and Vic Chou—alongside Ashin, the lead singer of the iconic rock band Mayday. While the concert celebrates the legacy of F4, Ashin emphasized that the focus of the event is not on any individual performer, but on the fans who have supported them throughout the years.

“This concert belongs to everyone here tonight. We are celebrating this moment together with the fans who have waited for more than 20 years,” Ashin shared during the show.

The F✦FOREVER City of Stars Concert Tour began in Shanghai before making its way to Jakarta, the first Southeast Asian city on the tour schedule. Originally planned as a two-night event on May 29 and 30, overwhelming demand from fans prompted organizers to add an extra show on May 28.

The concert also marks a historic return for the F4 members, who last performed in Indonesia in 2003. After a 23-year gap, their comeback has once again created a wave of excitement across the country.

Held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, the concert featured an impressive 360-degree stage with a circular runway, allowing the performers to interact closely with audiences from all directions. Throughout the evening, the artists walked around the stage, waved to fans, took selfies, and even shook hands with lucky attendees, creating memorable moments for everyone in the venue.

The atmosphere became even more emotional as beloved songs such as Make A Wish, Wo Shi Zhen De Zhen De Hen Ai Ni (I Truly, Truly Love You), Jue Bu Neng Shi Qu Ni (Can’t Lose You), and Yan Hua De Ji Jie (The Season of Fireworks) echoed throughout the stadium. Thousands of fans sang along passionately, transforming the arena into one giant choir.

For Ashin, who was performing in Indonesia for the very first time, the experience was deeply moving.

“Hearing everyone sing together so loudly and clearly was incredibly touching,” he said.

Many Indonesian fans first fell in love with F4 through the hit television drama Meteor Garden, which became a cultural phenomenon after entering the Indonesian market in 2001. More than two decades later, the group’s music and legacy continue to resonate with audiences of all ages.
