JAKARTA – The first two days of the highly anticipated F✦FOREVER City of Stars Concert Tour have delivered everything fans could have hoped for—nostalgia, laughter, heartfelt moments, and an emotional reunion more than two decades in the making.
Held at Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, the concert brought together three beloved members of the legendary F4—Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, and Vic Chou—alongside Ashin, the lead vocalist of Taiwanese rock band Mayday. For many fans in Indonesia, the event was more than just a concert; it was a journey back to the golden era of Meteor Garden, the drama that captured hearts across Asia in the early 2000s.

Jerry Yan Emotional Tribute Leaves Fans in Tears
One of the most unforgettable moments from the opening night on May 28 came during Jerry Yan’s solo performance of “Insomnia Letter” (Shimian Xin).
As the music played, the audience welcomed him with warm applause and cheers. However, the atmosphere soon shifted from excitement to emotion when Jerry paused and looked tearfully at an iconic necklace that longtime Meteor Garden fans instantly recognized.
The necklace symbolized one of the most memorable love stories in Asian television history—that of Dao Ming Si, played by Jerry Yan, and Shan Cai, portrayed by the late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, who passed away in 2025.
In a touching gesture, Jerry gently held the necklace before placing it on a telescope positioned on stage. The scene recreated one of the most beloved moments from Meteor Garden, when Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai spent time together looking at the stars through a telescope and witnessing a shooting star, a symbol of hope and growing love between the two characters.
The tribute instantly transported fans back to those unforgettable scenes, with many audience members visibly moved by the emotional recreation.
“Thank you for always staying by my side. I know life has not always been easy for you,” Jerry told the crowd.
“I want you to be truly happy. I hope you smile—not because of me, but because you are the one who shines.”
As tears filled his eyes, thousands of fans responded with heartfelt applause, creating one of the most emotional highlights of the entire concert. Jerry later continued his performance with “I Truly, Truly Love You,” further deepening the nostalgic atmosphere.
For many attendees, the moment served as both a tribute to Meteor Garden and a heartfelt remembrance of Barbie Hsu, whose legacy continues to live on through the beloved series.
Jerry Yan Playful Side Brings Laughter on Day Two
While the first night was filled with emotion, the second night on May 29 showcased another side of the F✦FOREVER members—their enduring friendship and playful chemistry.
Despite more than 20 years having passed since their rise to fame, Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Vic Chou, and Ashin interacted on stage as if no time had passed at all. Their constant jokes, laughter, and brotherly bond delighted fans throughout the evening.

During the performance of “Jue Bu Neng Shi Qu Ni,” Jerry and Vanness wrapped their arms around each other’s waists while singing, drawing loud cheers from the audience before walking closer to fans around the 360-degree stage.
One of the funniest moments of the night happened during Mayday’s song “Live In The Sky.” As the performers and dancers carried white handkerchiefs as part of the choreography, Jerry suddenly abandoned the routine and playfully hit Vanness with his handkerchief instead. The unexpected prank caused Vanness to lose his prop entirely, leaving both performers laughing uncontrollably on stage.

Jerry was not finished teasing his longtime friend. Later, during the performance of “Ni Yao De Ai,” Vanness attempted to join Jerry, Vic, and Ashin at center stage. Just as he began walking forward, Jerry mischievously grabbed the back of Vanness’ jacket, preventing him from moving. Vanness immediately burst into laughter, and fans erupted with cheers at the playful interaction.
These lighthearted moments became some of the most talked-about highlights of the second night, proving that the friendship between the members remains as strong as ever.
A Stage Designed for an Unforgettable Experience
The Jakarta concerts featured a spectacular 360-degree rotating stage equipped with massive LED screens and extended walkways that allowed the performers to interact closely with fans from every angle.
Throughout the show, the members frequently walked around the arena, waved to fans, took selfies, and even shook hands with audience members. The intimate interactions made the massive venue feel surprisingly personal.
The setlist included many fan-favorite songs such as “Meteor Rain,” “Make A Wish,” “Baby Baby,” “Te Amo (Wo Ai Ni),” “Yan Hua De Ji Jie,” and the group’s newest single, “Forever Forever.” Thousands of voices joined together throughout the concert, transforming the arena into one giant sing-along celebration.
Final Night Promises Another Magical Journey
The excitement continues on May 30 as F✦FOREVER returns to Indonesia Arena for the third and final Jakarta show. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. WIB, promising another three-hour journey through the music and memories that have connected generations of fans.
Indonesia became the first Southeast Asian destination on the F✦FOREVER City of Stars Concert Tour following the group’s performances in China. After Jakarta, the tour will continue to the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia.
For thousands of fans, F✦FOREVER is more than a reunion concert. It is a celebration of friendship, music, and memories that have endured for more than two decades. Whether through Jerry Yan’s emotional tribute, the members’ playful camaraderie, or the timeless songs that defined an era, the first two nights in Jakarta have already become unforgettable chapters in the story of F✦FOREVER.
