HYDE Rocks Jakarta with a One-Night-Only Concert

Japanese rock icon HYDE delivered a high-energy performance at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday, November 1, 2025. The concert, part of the HYDE [Inside] Live World Tour 2025, marked HYDE’s only stop in Southeast Asia, making it a truly special night for fans.

HYDE Gets the Crowd Moshing

During the show, HYDE turned the energy up a notch by inviting the audience to form a circle — a prelude to an epic mosh pit. For those unfamiliar, a mosh pit is the area in front of the stage where fans engage in high-energy dancing, pushing, jumping, and colliding in rhythm with the music.

Before performing “Social Virus,” HYDE asked the crowd:“Jakarta, are you ready?!”

The audience erupted in cheers, waiting for his cue. When HYDE initiated the countdown, fans threw themselves into the circle, moshing energetically but safely, with no injuries reported. The moment captured the raw energy and excitement of a live rock concert, with fans fully immersed in the experience.

True to his word, HYDE also surprised fans with stunning visuals and lighting effects throughout the show. He even made a personal connection by greeting fans in the upper stands, making the experience even more memorable.

A Setlist Spanning His Career

HYDE performed a mix of songs from his latest album HYDE [Inside] (2024), including:

  • Last Song

  • Social Virus

  • Let It Out

He also revisited hits from VAMPS, such as Devil Side, and delighted the audience with a surprise performance of L’Arc-en-Ciel’s “Honey” and Linkin Park’s “Faint” — showing his wide-ranging musical influences.

A Historic Solo Visit to Jakarta

Although HYDE previously performed in Jakarta with L’Arc-en-Ciel in 2012, this was his first solo visit to the city. At 56, the musician continues to push musical boundaries, from his solo albums to collaborations with major anime and video game projects, including Demon Slayer, Devil May Cry 5, and Black Butler.

Fans were also treated to a unique experience as HYDE moved among the crowd, bringing a personal touch to the night. The concert was promoted by Sound Rhythm and Mataloka Live, delivering a seamless blend of music, visuals, and fan engagement.

Jakarta witnessed a truly memorable rock event, one that HYDEISTs will likely remember for years to come
