JAKARTA — Indonesia Comic Con (ICC) marked a major milestone as it celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 3–4, 2026, transforming JIExpo Kemayoran into a vibrant gathering place for fans, creators, communities, brands, and creative industry players.

Organized by Panorama Media, this year’s edition carried the theme “A Decade of Pop Culture Fiesta,” celebrating ten years of Indonesia Comic Con while looking ahead to the future of the country’s pop culture and creative industries.
“Ten years ago, we started with one simple belief: Indonesia’s pop culture fans deserved a place of their own to come together,” said Andita Tirtawisata, Director of Panorama Media.
The 10th anniversary edition was built around three key ideas: Celebration, Connection, and Future. Celebration honored ICC’s decade-long journey and the communities that have grown alongside it. Connection highlighted the event’s role in bringing together different fandoms, creative disciplines, generations, and cultures. Meanwhile, Future focused on creating new opportunities for creators, intellectual properties (IPs), communities, and the wider creative industry.

Over two action-packed days, ICC 2026 offered a wide range of experiences, from exhibitions, celebrity talks, and meet-and-greets to cosplay programs, creator activities, gaming competitions, comic showcases, community programs, and collaborations with local and international partners.
Japanese actor Mackenyu took center stage as the event’s main guest, while international cosplayers HaneAme and Lily Universe brought even more excitement to the cosplay scene, alongside guests connected to the World Cosplay Summit.

“We designed the 10th edition so visitors would have plenty of reasons to stay for both days. There was Mackenyu on the main stage, HaneAme and Lily Universe for the cosplay community, as well as comic creators from Hong Kong and Malaysia in the creator area. Everything came together under one roof, and that is what makes ICC feel like an annual reunion for the pop culture community,” said Lulu Anwar, Project Manager of Indonesia Comic Con.
More Than Just Cosplay
Cosplay remained one of ICC’s major attractions, with two key competitions taking the spotlight. RAYA Championship of Cosplay is Indonesia Comic Con’s own original cosplay competition, while the Indonesia Cosplay Grand Prix serves as the national selection for WCS Indonesia, the official pathway to the prestigious World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan.
The comic scene also received a major international boost this year. ICC 2026 brought Indonesian comic artists together with creators from overseas, including participants from Hong Kong and Malaysia, through its collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta.
The initiative created opportunities for creative exchange while opening new possibilities for Indonesian creators and intellectual properties to connect with international audiences.
Connecting Local IPs to the Global Stage
One of the most notable highlights of ICC 2026 was its collaboration with Jakarta Futura Connectiva (JFC), a program under Jakarta’s Department of Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf DKI Jakarta).
The collaboration further emphasized ICC’s growing role beyond fandom and entertainment, positioning the convention as a platform where local intellectual properties, creators, and creative businesses can explore opportunities beyond Indonesia.
Gaming and women’s empowerment also took the spotlight through UniPin GameHers, which joined ICC as part of its GameHers 2026 pre-event series.
Under the theme “We Game, We Grow, We Glow,” GameHers presented the talk show Beyond the Screen: Gaming, Creativity & Finding Yourself, encouraging women to grow, create, and explore their potential through gaming and the creative industries.
“GameHers at Indonesia Comic Con gives us an opportunity to bring the spirit of women’s empowerment to an even wider audience,” said Debora Imanuella, Senior VP of Community & Media Networks at UniPin Global.
With a decade behind it, Indonesia Comic Con 2026 proved that the event has grown far beyond a convention centered on comics and cosplay. It has become a meeting point for fandoms, creators, brands, and industries — while increasingly serving as a gateway for Indonesia’s creative IPs to reach a wider global audience.
And after ten years, ICC appears ready for its next chapter.
