Djakarta Warehouse Project began in 2008 as a club event held at the famous Blowfish nightclub in Jakarta, originally called Blowfish Warehouse Project. The festival champions one of Indonesia’s most important values — diversity. Various sub-genres within the dance music category are showcased through several stages at the festival, including the main stage shaped like a bird, called ‘Garuda Land’, inspired by the national emblem, Garuda Pancasila.
Over the past ten editions, numerous world-renowned artists have graced the Djakarta Warehouse Project stages, including Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, Carl Cox, Skrillex, Tiesto, Diplo, Major Lazer, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Axwell x Ingrosso, and DJ Snake, to name just a few. Starting in 2010, the festival has been held annually in December, initially as a one-day event, growing to a two-day festival in 2014, and even hosting the world’s largest color festival, Life in Color.
In 2015, Djakarta Warehouse Project was named ‘Best EDM Festival of 2015’ by EDM Sauce. In 2016, the festival hosted more than 20,000 international visitors from 39 countries over two days. That year also saw the Asian debut of the Elrow tour concept from Barcelona, with a special stage and a colorful show. 2017 marked the debut of hip hop acts at DWP, featuring the entire 88rising crew and Desiigner. In 2018, the festival made a successful return for its 10th Anniversary Edition from December 7-9, 2018, at GWK Cultural Park, Bali, being held for the first time over 3 days. The annual DWP celebration set a new record at JiExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on December 13, 14, & 15, 2019, attracting more than 90,000 visitors.
After two years of virtual events with DWPV and DWPV 2.0 in 2021, the 2022 edition marked the long-awaited return of the offline Djakarta Warehouse Project, attracting over 34,000 visitors from 3 days of music, parties, and entertainment. In 2023, DWP celebrated its 15th anniversary at GWK Cultural Park, Bali.
This year, DWP will return on December 12, 13, and 14, 2025, in Bali, Indonesia, promising a spectacular experience and lineup.
