To celebrate the global premiere of its upcoming romantic comedy series Can This Love Be Translated?, Netflix has announced an exclusive fan event featuring the show’s leading stars, Kim Seon-ho (When Life Gives You Tangerines, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Start-Up) and Go Youn-jung (Sweet Home, Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, Resident Playbook). The special event will take place on January 16, 2026, at Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta.
Marking the first on-screen pairing of Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung, Can This Love Be Translated? is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Joo Ho-jin, a gifted multilingual interpreter assigned to work with Cha Mu-hee, a world-famous celebrity. Through their journey, the series explores a universal question that resonates across cultures: How do we truly translate and understand love?
Following a series of promotional activities in Korea, the cast—along with director Yoo Young-eun—will head to Jakarta, a city renowned for its passionate K-drama fandom, to celebrate the show’s global launch. The fan event will take place on the very day the series premieres worldwide, making it a truly special moment for fans.
Designed as an immersive and cinematic experience, the Jakarta fan event will reflect the cross-cultural spirit of the series. Inspired by the show’s international settings—spanning Japan, Korea, Canada, and Italy—the event will transport attendees through the same countries visited by the characters in the story.
Fans can look forward to interactive segments that feel like a romantic getaway alongside Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung. Even better, the event is completely free of charge. Tickets will be available through two registration categories: Superfans and General Admission.
