The latest action-comedy film from South Korea, Boss, is making its way to Indonesian cinemas after a record-breaking run in its home country. Directed by Ra Hee Chan, the film achieved an impressive milestone — surpassing 1 million viewers in just five days since its release on October 3, 2025.
Now, nearly a month after its Korean debut, Boss is officially confirmed to premiere in Indonesia on November 5, 2025. Starring Jo Woo Jin, Jung Kyung Ho, and Park Ji Hwan, this film promises an unforgettable blend of action, chaos, and humor with a gangster twist.
Synopsis
Boss follows the story of a gangster organization thrown into turmoil after the sudden death of its leader.
With the position of boss now vacant, two unlikely candidates emerge: Na Sun Tae (Jo Woo Jin) and Dong Kang Pyo (Jung Kyung Ho).
The problem? Neither of them wants the job — both are far more interested in chasing their own personal dreams.
Meanwhile, Jo Pan Ho (Park Ji Hwan) desperately wants to be the new boss, but no one in the gang sees him as fit for the role.
Amid the growing tension, a mysterious newcomer enters the scene — Hong Tae Kyu (Lee Kyu Hyung), a detective disguised as a Chinese restaurant worker who has a hidden connection to the gang.
His arrival sparks a chain of chaotic, action-packed, and hilarious events that keep audiences entertained from start to finish.
