Kimberly, or Kim, a member of the South Korean girl group VVUP who is originally from Indonesia, expressed her desire to collaborate with one of Indonesia’s singers, Kunto Aji.
The girl group under EgoENT (Ego Entertainment) recently visited Indonesia for the Mark & Lona House Party with VVUP event, held on Friday (26/12/2025) at Lippo Mall Puri.
This marked the first time Kim, Suyeon, Jiyoon, and Paan—the members of VVUP—greeted their fans in Indonesia in person since their debut in early 2024.
The members shared their happiness about being able to come to Indonesia, especially since it is the homeland of one of the members, Kim.
“And even though this is our first time in Indonesia, it doesn’t feel unfamiliar because this is Kim’s birthplace. So we’re really happy to be here,” said Suyeon during a press conference.
Kimberly Expresses Interest in Collaborating with Kunto Aji
After being away from Indonesia for about two years, Kim admitted that she was very happy to finally return and meet her fans in Jakarta. She was also deeply touched by the warm welcome from fans, some of whom even came to greet her at the airport.
“When we arrived at the airport, there were already many fans welcoming us. It felt really wonderful,” she said.
Before debuting with VVUP, Kim had already gained public attention in Indonesia due to her active involvement in singing since she was very young. She had also previously collaborated with a well-known Indonesian religious singer, Opick.
On this occasion, Kim also expressed her interest in collaborating with singer Kunto Aji. According to Kim, this dream has been with her since even before her debut with VVUP.
“Even before my debut with VVUP, I’ve been a huge fan of Mas Kunto Aji and his albums. I really want to collaborate with Mas Kunto Aji if I get the opportunity,” Kim told the media.
Meanwhile, the exciting collaboration between VVUP and Mark & Lona will continue at Mall Kota Kasablanca on Saturday (27/12/2025).
