After years of anticipation, MONSTA X is finally set to meet their Indonesian fans in person. The global K-pop sensation will hold their first-ever concert in Jakarta in April 2026 as part of their upcoming Asian tour.
On Tuesday (December 23, 2025), Starship Entertainment officially announced the group’s Asia tour titled “2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS] in Asia.” The announcement immediately sparked excitement among fans across the region, especially MONBEBE in Indonesia who have been waiting for this moment for nearly a decade.
Jakarta Included in Asia Tour Lineup
According to the tour poster released by the agency, MONSTA X members Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Joohoney will kick off their Asia tour in Bangkok on March 7, 2026, followed by Taipei on April 4, 2026, before heading to Jakarta on April 18, 2026.
The Jakarta concert will take place at The Kasablanka Hall, marking a historic milestone for the group. This event also serves as MONSTA X’s long-awaited first concert in Indonesia after their planned appearance during the 2017 BEAUTIFUL Asia Tour was canceled.
Adding to the excitement, Starship Entertainment included the phrase “and more” in the tour announcement, hinting that additional cities and dates may be revealed in the future.
I.M to Miss Overseas Schedules
Unfortunately, fans will notice one familiar face missing from the lineup. The group’s youngest member, I.M, will not be participating in MONSTA X’s overseas schedules in 2026, including the Jakarta concert.
Starship Entertainment explained that I.M is continuing rehabilitation treatment for his back injury and is also preparing for his upcoming mandatory military service. “As a citizen of the Republic of Korea, I.M is currently preparing for his military enlistment and is awaiting his official enlistment date,” the agency stated.
Due to the physically demanding nature of the tour and his recovery condition, I.M will also be absent from the opening concerts in Seoul.
World Tour Kicks Off in Seoul
Before heading across Asia, MONSTA X will launch their world tour with a three-day concert in Seoul at KSPO DOME on January 30, 31, and February 1, 2026. Despite I.M’s absence, the concerts are expected to showcase the group’s powerful performances and signature stage presence.
Celebrating 10 Years with THE X
In September 2025, MONSTA X released their mini album THE X, led by the title track “N the Front.” The album represents a symbolic milestone, celebrating the group’s 10-year journey since their debut in 2015.
True to their identity, MONSTA X continues to deliver bold and distinctive music. The album also highlights the members’ creative involvement, with Joohoney contributing to four tracks, including “Do What I Want” and “Tuscan Leather,” further solidifying his role as the group’s musical driving force.
Get Ready to Sing Along, Jakarta!
As suggested by the tour’s title, [THE X : NEXUS], fans can expect MONSTA X to perform songs from their latest mini album alongside their iconic hits. For Indonesian MONBEBE, now is the perfect time to start memorizing the lyrics and preparing your fanchants.
