NCT WISH ROCKS JAKARTA: FROM “LUCIFER” COVER TO FALLING IN LOVE WITH “PISANG GORENG”

NCT WISH finally brought their much-anticipated tour, 2025 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in Jakarta, to life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, promoted by Dyandra Global Edutainment. The following is a recap of the concert’s excitement as compiled by the todaystageid team.

A Powerful Opening with “Wish,” and Amazed by Indonesian Fans

The concert kicked off with their hit song “Wish,” and the six members—Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, Sakuya, and Sion—stunned the audience with sharp choreography and dazzling stage lighting.

While their handsome visuals and fresh talents captivated fans, the group itself was equally astonished by the energy of Indonesian NCTzen (NCT fans). The crowd cheered non-stop—even before the group appeared on stage.“Wow, your energy is amazing, Jakarta! We’re so happy to see this,” said Sion.

“We could hear your cheers from backstage,” added Riku, met with even louder applause.

Despite their relatively short career since debuting in early 2024, Indonesian fans already knew every lyric of NCT WISH’s songs. They took the stage at 3:00 PM WIB, performing hits like “WISH,” “Sail Away,” “Hands Up,” and “Steady.”

A Concert with a Video Game Theme

NCT WISH’s concert brought a unique video game concept—hence the name “Log In.”

The show opened with a video of the members playing a game, only to be sucked into it, becoming its characters. Just like in a game, each member was introduced with their own strengths and weaknesses. Fans were also invited to help “customize” each character’s outfit, enhancing the interactive experience.

Special stage features included giant game controller buttons. When stepped on, the audience’s lightsticks lit up in multicolored waves, creating a breathtaking visual effect. The group’s mission? To win over fans’ hearts with energy and fun from start to finish.

They succeeded through entertaining gimmicks—ranging from using cute Indonesian phrases to joining the viral “Stecu Stecu” dance trend in Indonesia.

Fans Help Decide the Setlist

During the “Challenge Time” segment, NCT WISH invited fans to participate in mini-games. The six members split into two teams: Kitty Wish and Puppy Wish, and fans voted for their favorite.

Later, fans were asked to choose a TikTok dance challenge—which led to a fun performance of the “Stecu” dance. In the final round, fans voted between two “mission songs”: SNSD’s “Kissing You” and NCT U’s “Make a Wish (Birthday Song)”. The winner? “Make a Wish”, which the group delivered with flair.

They also performed the nostalgic “Eusha! Eusha!” by SHINHWA, paying tribute to their seniors.

Addicted to ‘Maca Cih,’ ‘Mantul,’ and Fried Bananas

Throughout the concert, NCT WISH frequently spoke in Indonesian, charming fans with their adorable attempts. The phrase “maca cih?” (from the slang “masa sih?” or “really?”) became a crowd favorite.“I miss you! Do you miss us too? Maca cih?” said Riku, causing a wave of excited screams.

Yushi and Sion also joined in using the phrase during their MC segments.

Other cute Indonesian phrases they used included “sayang-sayangku,” “aku sayang kalian,” and “mantul” (a slang word for awesome).

The youngest member, Sakuya, expressed his love for Indonesian cuisine, especially pisang goreng (fried bananas).“We had a meal together yesterday, and the food was amazing. I personally love fried bananas,” he said with a smile.

He added:“I’ve fallen even more in love with Indonesia—not only because of the delicious food but also because of the support from our Czennies (NCT fans).”

Heartfelt Words and Lasting Memories

The enthusiasm from NCTzen left a lasting impression on all six members. Jaehee was amazed by how fans could sing every lyric in unison. Yushi shared:“I love you all. Let’s continue to make happy memories together—now and forever.”

Riku also gave thanks:“Thank you for coming and enjoying this happy moment with us. Let’s stay together forever.”

Meanwhile, Sion, as the leader, delivered a touching message:“Thank you for such a warm welcome. Your happiness is what matters most to us. We want you to be even happier.”

Wearing Batik in Jakarta: A Special Encore

Just before the encore, fans were thrilled as the members pulled out batik shirts—traditional Indonesian attire—and wore them on stage.“Do we look good in these?” asked Jaehee after putting his on.

“How do we look, Sijeuni?” added Sion, blowing kisses to the crowd.

The concert ended with the songs “Make You Shine” and “Our Adventures,” while the members walked around throwing gifts into the audience.“Every time we perform here, your loving gaze gives us so much energy,” said Sion.

“We want Czennie to be the happiest people in the world. Let’s remember every moment from LOG IN Jakarta.”

Ryo was especially moved:“This was beyond my expectations—100 times better. When I saw that slogan, ‘We shine because of Czennie,’ I thought—yes, you’re the sun, and we’re the moon. Let’s keep shining together.”
