Podcast Ancur and Spotify Present Again Podcast Hunt 2025 Video Podcast Competition

Jakarta, September 19, 2025 – Podcast Ancur, the comedy podcast trio consisting of Randhika Djamil, Patra Gumala, and Diaz Danar, is once again teaming up with Spotify to launch Podcast Hunt 2025, a talent search competition for new video podcast creators.

Following the success of last year’s competition — which attracted 392 podcast entries from across Indonesia and received an enthusiastic response from media and creator communities — this second edition of Podcast Hunt returns with wider regional reach and welcomes creators from even more diverse genres.“The enthusiasm for Podcast Hunt 2024 was incredible. The strong interest from participants proves that the demand for video podcasts is truly significant. Interest in video format is evident from trends in video podcast consumption on Spotify. Over the past year, Spotify has recorded a 75% increase in video podcast consumption in Indonesia, showing promising opportunities for new creators to share their stories.“As interest in video podcasts continues to grow, Spotify is proud to support Podcast Hunt 2025 in discovering the next generation of creators. How to Register for Podcast Hunt 2025

Registration for Podcast Hunt 2025 opens today through the microsite podcasthunt.id and will close on October 18, 2025. The competition is open to participants from all over Indonesia and across all podcast genres. This year, participants will be required to include their podcast’s region of origin to help map out regional distribution.

In addition to new video podcasters, this event is also open to existing podcast channels, as long as they have not yet received advertising in any form. During the selection process, participants will be equipped with valuable content and insights about the podcasting industry — including idea development, promotion tips, and more — through a series of workshops hosted by Podcast Ancur and the Spotify team.

Podcast Hunt 2025 will consist of two selection phases:

In the first phase, 30 selected participants will join an online workshop session to prepare them for producing a video podcast to be judged by a panel.
Then, the judges will select the Top 20 who will attend two additional offline workshop sessions.

In the second phase, the video podcasts produced by the Top 20 will be re-evaluated by the judges. During this phase, the public will also be able to vote through Spotify from October 27 to November 9, 2025. Public votes will contribute to the final scoring to determine the Top 5 finalists, who will perform live in the grand final on November 14.

Podcast Ancur has prepared cash prizes worth tens of millions of rupiah for the winners.
