Since officially parting ways with DAY6 and JYP Entertainment, eaJ has been primarily based in Los Angeles, steadily shaping his identity as a solo artist. He’s known for blending genres and embedding themes of mental health into his music.

He released “Car Crash” on April 8, 2022, followed by his first Asian tour in Singapore and Taiwan. He later dropped “Typical Story,” the lead single from his debut mini album Laughing In Insomnia.
