JAKARTA, October 15, 2026 — Japanese boy group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE is back in Indonesia after three years, bringing new stories, fresh musical perspectives, and a deeper understanding of their identity as a group. During a press conference in Jakarta, the seven-member act reflected on their memorable experiences in Indonesia, their international journey, and the message behind their second full-length album, DIFFERENT.
Their return marks a special moment for both the group and their devoted fanbase, known as FOREVER. Having last performed in Indonesia at a Japan Festival in 2023, PSYCHIC FEVER is eager to reconnect with Indonesian fans and introduce a new chapter in their musical journey.
More than just a reunion, this visit highlights how far the group has come—and how they continue to embrace their individuality while growing together through music.
A Long-Awaited Return to Indonesia
For PSYCHIC FEVER, returning to Indonesia brings back fond memories of their previous visit and the incredible energy they shared with local fans.
“We’re really happy to be back after three years. We performed at a Japan Festival here back then, and we’re glad to return to a place that holds so many wonderful memories for us,” Kokoro shared.
Ryoga echoed the sentiment, recalling the excitement of performing alongside FOREVER and feeling the crowd’s energy through music and dance.
“Three years ago, we performed at the Japan Festival with FOREVER. The energy we felt while singing and dancing together on stage was incredible. It became a really enjoyable memory for us,” he said.
Although their schedule in Jakarta was packed, the members remained enthusiastic about meeting the media and connecting with fans. After arriving in Jakarta from Thailand in the morning, they immediately began a series of interviews and collaboration video shoots.
The tropical heat also made a strong impression on the group, especially Tsurugi, who admitted he had been concerned about wearing relatively thick clothing in the Indonesian weather.
“Jakarta is really hot! I was a little worried because we’re wearing quite thick outfits. But we’ll keep giving our best for our fans in Indonesia,” Tsurugi said with a laugh.
Despite the demanding schedule and warm weather, the group’s excitement about being back was unmistakable.
Three Years of Growth and International Experiences
Since their last visit to Indonesia, PSYCHIC FEVER has continued to expand its musical horizons through international activities, including a tour in the United States and three live tours in Japan.
According to Jimmy, these experiences have helped the members grow individually and collectively, particularly in developing their R&B and hip-hop sound.
“Over the past three years, we’ve toured America and completed three live tours in Japan. We feel that our abilities have improved, and we’ve grown in many positive ways, especially when it comes to R&B and hip-hop,” he explained.
Performing for different audiences has given the group valuable opportunities to refine their stage presence, experiment with their sound, and strengthen their artistic identity.
REN also highlighted the diversity of talents within the seven-member group as one of PSYCHIC FEVER’s greatest strengths. Each member brings something different to the table, whether through dancing, songwriting, or singing.
Rather than viewing these differences as obstacles, the group sees them as essential ingredients in creating a distinctive performance. By combining their individual strengths, PSYCHIC FEVER aims to deliver something that none of the members could create alone.
This philosophy of embracing individuality while working toward a shared vision lies at the heart of their latest album, DIFFERENT.
DIFFERENT: An Album About Individuality, Unity, and Growth
Comprising 10 tracks, DIFFERENT marks PSYCHIC FEVER’s return to releasing a full-length album after four years. For the members, the record represents more than a collection of new songs—it captures the changes they have experienced and the musical identity they have developed along the way.
Ryoga described the album as a special milestone, expressing his hope that listeners would discover their own favorites among the 10 tracks while recognizing the group’s growth.
“DIFFERENT contains 10 songs, and after four years, we’ve finally released another full-length album. We’ve grown a lot during that time, and we hope everyone can find a song they love among these 10 tracks and see how much we’ve developed,” he said.
The album’s title carries a message that resonates deeply with the group. Being different is sometimes perceived negatively, as though individuality creates distance between people. PSYCHIC FEVER, however, wants to challenge that perception.
Kokoro explained that differences can instead become a way for people to understand one another, find common ground, and remain true to themselves.
For the members, DIFFERENT celebrates the idea that people do not have to be the same to stand together. Their individual personalities and talents can coexist, complement one another, and ultimately create something meaningful.
That message also reflects the group’s own journey. Each member has developed a unique identity over the years, yet their shared experiences have helped them become more connected as a team.
Jimmy added that the album was shaped by conversations among the members about their respective strengths and personalities. Through those discussions, they sought to translate their collective growth and individual perspectives into music.
“During the album-making process, we discussed what makes each of us unique. We’ve grown together, and through all those differences, we were able to create something and express it through this album,” he explained.
With DIFFERENT, PSYCHIC FEVER invites listeners to celebrate what makes them unique while recognizing the beauty of growing together.
More Personal Involvement Behind the Music
Another defining aspect of DIFFERENT is the members’ involvement in its creative process. Rather than simply performing the songs, several members contributed directly to the work behind the record, bringing their own experiences and perspectives into the music.
Weesa revealed that the members had opportunities to participate in the album’s production, including his own contribution to the songwriting process.
Ryushin also shared that he worked alongside Jimmy and Weesa on lyric writing and recording. The process required careful attention to detail, making the experience particularly memorable for him.
“There were many details we had to pay attention to throughout the album-making process. Jimmy, Weesa, and I also contributed to the lyrics and recording. All of those experiences became special memories for me,” Ryushin said.
For Jimmy, one track stands out in particular: “Cinderella Pt. 2.” Having participated in writing its lyrics, he feels a personal connection to the song, making it one of the most memorable tracks on the album for him.
The members’ creative contributions reflect their desire to take a more active role in shaping PSYCHIC FEVER’s musical direction. By incorporating their own ideas and experiences, they are working toward a sound that feels increasingly authentic to who they are today.
Their growing involvement also reinforces the central theme of DIFFERENT: individual voices can make a meaningful contribution to a shared creation.
“IF YOU’RE MINE”: A Musical Connection to “Just Like That”
Among the songs they are particularly eager to introduce to the public, Tsurugi highlighted “IF YOU’RE MINE” as a track worth discovering.
He explained that the song shares similarities with their earlier release, “Just Like That,” giving it a familiar quality while connecting it to the group’s evolving musical journey.
For listeners who have followed PSYCHIC FEVER from their previous releases, “IF YOU’RE MINE” offers an opportunity to explore the relationship between their earlier sound and the direction they are taking with DIFFERENT.
It also reflects the group’s approach to musical growth: building on what has come before while continuing to explore new possibilities.
Looking Ahead to a Closer Connection With FOREVER Indonesia
Beyond promoting their latest album, PSYCHIC FEVER hopes this return will help strengthen its relationship with Indonesian fans.
Kokoro expressed his happiness at being able to reconnect with local media and FOREVER, while sharing his wish for a future visit that would allow the group to spend more time with fans beyond promotional appearances.
“We’re really happy to be back and get closer to the media and fans in Indonesia. Unfortunately, for now, we can only come for events like this. We hope that someday we can return for a live tour and spend more time together with our fans in Indonesia,” he said.
The prospect of a dedicated tour is an exciting one for Indonesian FOREVER, who have been waiting since the group’s last appearance in 2023 to welcome them back.
With more international experience under their belts and a clearer sense of their musical identity, PSYCHIC FEVER is looking to build stronger connections with audiences around the world. Indonesia remains an important part of that journey, and the members’ enthusiasm suggests that this visit is only the beginning of what they hope will be a longer relationship with local fans.
An Invitation to Celebrate DIFFERENT in Jakarta
To close the press conference, Ryoga expressed his gratitude to the attending media and everyone who has continued to support PSYCHIC FEVER throughout their journey.
He also invited fans to join the group’s listening party at Bajawa Kemang on October 15, 2026, offering an opportunity to experience their music together.
“We haven’t visited Indonesia for quite a long time, and we’ve been looking forward to this opportunity to come back. There will be a listening party at Bajawa Kemang tomorrow. Everyone can come, listen to our songs, and enjoy the music together. We hope that someday, when we return to Indonesia and become even more well-known, we can meet again and you can invite us for another interview,” Ryoga said.
The listening party offers Indonesian fans another way to celebrate the group’s return and discover the music behind DIFFERENT in a shared setting.
For PSYCHIC FEVER, coming back to Indonesia is about more than revisiting familiar places. It is an opportunity to reconnect with the people who have supported them, share the results of their musical evolution, and open the door to future encounters.
With 10 tracks that explore individuality, personal growth, and the strength found in differences, DIFFERENT captures a group that continues to evolve without losing sight of what brings its members together.
As PSYCHIC FEVER moves into this new chapter, the message is clear: being different does not mean standing apart. Sometimes, it is precisely those differences that make it possible to create something extraordinary—together.
